Mate you have it easy, my Lamborghini Aventador Roadster costs me near £80 a y! As you can imagine it spends weekdays in the garage and only comes out to play on the weekend! Oh and lets not get started on insurance costs! Glad to see you're enjoying your G!
Trick with Italian cars is: When you start the car with the engine being cold. Let the oil get up to temp before you rev and drive your Italian car. Remember this is from a cold engine at first. Like the morning before you leave to go on a trip or to work. I always let my car warm up to at least 150 degrees Fahrenheit , normal temp for my Italian car is 190 degrees Fahrenheit.
Some crazy numbers but when you love supercars it doesn't count. Great video Paul ! Great format and very informative ! Happy Christmas and Happy New Year :) Cheers !
+InfernoZShadow Gaming I don't think that's a good idea... That 5.2 V10 makes one of the best sound in the world and is powerful enough. It would also kill the soul of the car.
What a great guy,I love this channel. This was very interesting to hear, especially taking the engine out to change the full exhaust! Damn that's a huge job! Car looks absolutely great that colour though.
+MultiTerpen especially since the only thing unique about his "special edition" is the paint job, which nobody cares about anyways since wrapping is a thing
I have the same tires, the cheapest I found near me was $868 plus $30 a wheel to install through the SAMS club. No stores have them in stock, they're all special order. The cheapest tire store was a hair under $1000 plus about $250 to mount. They're such a hassle but they are extremely good, I do just slide from side to side on painted stripes or anything metal though, but I guess that's any performance or low profile tire.
the reason you have to have all the same tires on a AWD car is because if one of the tires has a different rolling diameter than the tire on the other side the center differential or the rear differential (depending on which part of the car the different tires are on) will have added stress and in some cases will burn up the diff. nothing to do with the handling of the car.
UK VS MIDDLE EAST Service 120 vs 200 pounds tires 150 vs the cheap brand 200 & highest brand 350 - 400 pounds insurance 300 vs 1000 to 1500 pounds for the year PATROL "fuel" 400 vs 60 pounds God Bless The World !!
@supercarsofLondon Absolutely loved this video, I think I might have been one of the few people who recommended you to do this type of video. I'm a 19 year old entrepreneur from the U.S and over the recent months my start-up has been successful. In a few months I'm looking to buy a 2015 Cayman S, and have been researching over the past few weeks. With that being said it would be amazing if you did a video on buying and purchasing a supercar, covering the down payment to maintenance cost. Best Regards.
Very interesting insight in to supercar ownership! Is there any additional costs to worry about when driving on the continent besides the tolls? are insurance companies fine with it?
I was thinking for most of this video, "wow your stupid for spending that much money." Then I remember how young you are and my respect goes up a ton. Nice car
+hirshizer He'll make a good few grand each month easily, I only get 290k views a month and do ok. Paul on the other hand, his UA-cam will cover the cost of the Lambo plus everything else
Maybe at fast speeds less tread is better as more friction however as he is only on British roads the friction is not enough therefore more tread will fit into grit again creating more friction .
JE Photography UK honestly JE, this is not true... the tarmac isnt porous enough to create this effects... honestly read on a tyre has no effect on grip, its all about surface area... you may gain a little bit of surface area on the sides of the tread maybe 1mm up but apart from that nothing... if you ran slicks on uk roads in dry conditions youd have far better grip than a treaded tyre... the only reason they have tread is for when it rains

I remember when I was 17 (a long time ago) and I had an old 1985 E30 318i. Some insurance company's wanted £12k 3rd party fire and theft to insure her. Luckily I got the price down to just under 1k. A year later my 88 325i was only £750 fully comp. The good old days :)
Nah it'll stay a dream for now anyways, that thing is expensive as hell to import and importing is the only way for me to get one, don't want to spend all that money right now.
As much as I love these cars be they Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren etc, the servicing and repair costs are simply obscene..which is why I believe the C7 Corvette, be it the standard model or Z06 is the best overall Super Sports car in the world when taking into account running costs..and no I'm not American, but credit where it is due, since the C6, the Corvette has elevated itself to world class status, the C7 simply ticks all the boxes and is about as good as anything out there at a fraction of the cost. That said, this lambo looks great and congratulations to S.O.L guy for living his dream, well done to you sir.
Coming into London tomorrow for 3 days, with the aim of just seeing supercars, hopefully I wont be dissapointed! Also hoping to meet Paul Wallace sometime just so I can see his awesome Lambo and get a photo with him. So fingers crossed!
What about depreciation? At the end of ownership, presumably there will be a fairly significant loss which will form part of the running/ownership cost?
Mate, I have been watchin ur vids 4 a while but I will subs now. I think ur a cool guy no matter how u earn ur money. Just a piece of advice from a huge fan of Porsche - Buy urself a Porsche 991 Turbo/Turbo S or at least Carrera 4S/GTS. It's not that flashy as a Lambo, but running cost fuel econ, handling, perf are equal or better and so long. Cheers mate
The insurance is the most surprising cost about this car. I thought it would have been a hell of a lot more, especially since he's still in the 'idiot' years of driving. That's actually really bloody cheap compared to what you'd pay here in Canada. 1,500 pounds for an R8 is an absolute steal.
If you have the manual, the Gallardo is actually an impressively manageable car to own and maintain. The E-gear is what gets people. There is no "diy" maintenance on an E-gear lol
Good on you...'YOLO' as they say nowadays! Better than driving a rubbish car with loads of money in the bank... I dream of owning a Lamborghini one day :) Keep up the good work and vids...
Wow. I did not expect it to cost so much to maintain. But man is living his dream. I do really like the car but the costs are too much I think. Oh well YOLO!!!!!
If you want to have a Bmw 320 e46 in Norway I have heard that it can cost around 2000£. Here in Norway insurance is very expensive if you are young and especially if you want to have a bimmer
+jerusdc My mate just sold his 997 turbo as the gear box was on its way out after less than 30k on the clock the car had so many issues . Hope you get a good one and make sure its the facelift model
+sinngsg9 Why would you prefer the facelift model? Because it looks nicer or any other reasons? I think that I would prefer the pre-facelift model because it still has manifold injection, which works better than direct injection.
The 997 is the only time Porsche have made a facelift mid model the big issue was The notorious and costly IMS bearing failure - which can result in catastrophic engine failure - was an issue with the earliest first generation 997s, the 997.2 they addressed this issue and many more the engine had . One of my offer friends has a 09 Cayenne and his gearbox just blow after less then 60k, The Turbo S should be ok fingers crossed
I thought the fuel would be much cheaper in the UK, than it is here in Norway. Premium 98 octane is around £1,2 - £1,3 depending on day of the week, pr liter ofc.
You forgot one HUGE cost...the repayments on this car, whether that be Hire Purchase, loan, Personal Contract Plan, lease or whatever, that's a large chunk of change per month.
Buy k&n air filters & you wash them instead of changing them they pay for themselves very fast & there a better filter I'm not sure if power is actually much more but it's more about not changing it every year.
here in Croatia, for the all running cost money, u can buy a bmw m3 2010... registration and insurance is for car and it cost for one year something like 270 quid
Here in the States If you drive your car in what the insurance calls a wreak less manner meaning racing or speeding the insurance company could void your policy and deny all ant any claims. Once that happens it is very hard to get insurance from another company. Having a UA-cam channel showing you speeding does not not help. Insurance companies try their best not pay a high claim. The have a whole department just to investigate everything. I would read the fine print of your policy. I know most policies do not not cover for any super car rentals.
Suggestion for new video. Take it to a dyno to see actual Wheel HP, and from there you can convert it to the BHP if you want it to sound higher. Invite Tim and Seb and whoever also. Dyno Day!
I drove a Gallardo on Sunday around a Welsh testing and race track. It was fun, but it was my very first time even driving. It was an older version of yours, and not as nice. Just a stock one.
Great video!! Well done for achieving your dream so young. I'm hoping to achieve something similar by the time I'm 50 LOL! Only another 7 years to win the lottery then :)

Nearly £16,940 a year to run that thing! WOW
He says £800 - £1000 a month that's between £9600 - £12000 a year?

+TheConsleboy WHAT! Uk be Crazy , i only pay 35 quid a month for my 95 Alfa GTV.. im as old as paul.
+WillieNillie I only passed my test 3 months ago and am 18. Age plays a massive factor including the area and other stuff.
true, i payed 120 quid each month when i was 18. after 23 it dropped alot.
+TheConsleboy Mines £400..... whys yours so expensive
Mate you have it easy, my Lamborghini Aventador Roadster costs me near £80 a y! As you can imagine it spends weekdays in the garage and only comes out to play on the weekend! Oh and lets not get started on insurance costs! Glad to see you're enjoying your G!
Probably the Chillest Lamborghini owner I know.. Props... from the USA.
your insurance is the same as mine. Im 17 and drive a ford :(
:(
+farees “and” imran ikr!
wow that sucks I'm 18 mine is like around 800$ a year and I just got my license 3 months ago and I drive a lexus

Trick with Italian cars is: When you start the car with the engine being cold. Let the oil get up to temp before you rev and drive your Italian car. Remember this is from a cold engine at first. Insurance is so overpriced in the UK.
Asian Countries that's cute 😂🤣
Luckily gas here in NYC is extremely cheap. I fill my X5 which takes roughly 100litres for around 50$ (33Pounds)
Did the armytrix exhaust increase the horsepower?
+Huey Camus why are you even asking this?!
yes
+Huey Camus Not sure if joke or you are actually being serious
+Huey Camus yes it has 900 horsepower now
+Huey Camus Usually exhaust systems add 10-20 HP, so I'd imagine this would be similar.
Some crazy numbers but when you love supercars it doesn't count. Great video Paul ! Great format and very informative ! Happy Christmas and Happy New Year :) Cheers !
this car was engineered in Germany, partly assembled in Ger partly in Italy.
And now you’ve got a LP640-4! Smashed it! So happy for you! Hard work pays off! 👊🏽
Hi Paul you should twin turbo your Lamborghini
+InfernoZShadow Gaming I don't think that's a good idea... That 5.2 V10 makes one of the best sound in the world and is powerful enough. It would also kill the soul of the car.
A Twin Turbo kit costs as much as the car and Paul doesn't need 1000+ HP and he is not a millionaire.
+Eddi Diz Twin turbo go upto 40k
+InfernoZShadow Gaming
Yeah, and watch his insurance costs go through the roof.
+TheLambo123254 they dont go up to 40k lol they start at 40k and go up to 160k+
What a great guy,I love this channel. This was very interesting to hear, especially taking the engine out to change the full exhaust! Damn that's a huge job! Car looks absolutely great that colour though.
Get twin turbos 😂
Wish he did , he's going to sell it in 9 months and get a new car.
+TheLambo123254 he bought a special edition so he could sell it and not lose money
+TheLambo123254 There is literally 500 types of special editions.. They are not that special
+MultiTerpen especially since the only thing unique about his "special edition" is the paint job, which nobody cares about anyways since wrapping is a thing
Alex sheremet it is white and black.. how is that special
Cool car, nice mk11 escort passing as well. It's great to see somebody thats really into cars getting such a brillant car. Congratulations
Damn, I wasn't expecting it to be that much! Insurance is a killer :/
Haha, the Ford Escort that drive-by nailed it!!!!And Paul will be like,"I need to get louder exhaust!!!!"😂😂😂
You should smoke those back lights will look so badass! Small mod but huge difference :)
+Keith Chua Except it's universally illegal and you become partially at-fault in a rear end accident.
+Keith Chua hell no...thats the easiest way to "cheapen" the look of the car. leave that to hondas
+someusername121 true, that's a rational thought.
Aye...and look like he's spent all of £4 in Halfords on a rattle can!
+Keith Chua Nice profile pic.

it doesn't have the new spoiler there
+Victor Cruz Have a guess why genius
+Moradinio I Dunno tnx Sherlock
It flew away.
***** No - public comments section - will say what i like. douchebag.
***** But the answer is obvious. Even someone with downs syndrome could figure it out.
Very nice color choice man, I did't like it at the beggining but hey, now I'm in love with it... Bravo!
UK VS MIDDLE EAST
Service 120 vs 200 pounds
tires 150 vs the cheap brand 200 & highest brand 350 - 400 pounds
insurance 300 vs 1000 to 1500 pounds for the year
PATROL "fuel" 400 vs 60 pounds
God Bless The World !!
+Oman Rap another perk of being in the middle east, the chance of being tortured and executed by ISIS. I agree, god bless the world.
+iN4than wtf
+iN4than Have you been scanned for a brain tumor?
+iN4than no, just A stupid awnser. So for example you life in Dubai. Will you get killed by Is? No.
This is why I like your channel. You're honest with your cars

Did you do it?
£1200 for service is such bollocks
Very interesting insight in to supercar ownership! Is there any additional costs to worry about when driving on the continent besides the tolls? are insurance companies fine with it?
Why does it seem like almost every youtuber has a Gallardo, guys come on someone be unique and buy a murcielago
Murcielagos are ugly bro
They cost a lot more to run.
They are sexier than the gallardo. You have no taste.
+Saheel Nahaboo not no taste, but different. There is nothing wrong with that.
+TheAventadorSV They are not as reliable!
I was thinking for most of this video, "wow your stupid for spending that much money." Then I remember how young you are and my respect goes up a ton. Nice car
You get an average of around 110K views which means you make a hell of a lot more that your lambo costs you in a month
+hirshizer I dont understand how people still make money from UA-cam? Doesnt everyone have Adblock? It's almost 2016 people?!
+hirshizer He'll make a good few grand each month easily, I only get 290k views a month and do ok. Paul on the other hand, his UA-cam will cover the cost of the Lambo plus everything else
+DistantDomain mobile views have gone from a tiny percentage to a majority over the last few years. Very few people run adblock on IOS or Android.
+Mary Jewana He earns an average of 100-110k euros per year(socialblade).
+DistantDomain Old ass people, Children on youtube, Technologically dumb people
I got a Diecast Gallardo. I had put it together. The wheels are really shiny. It's White but the seats are red.It looks really nice.
will someone explain that tyre tread does not denote grip.
Maybe at fast speeds less tread is better as more friction however as he is only on British roads the friction is not enough therefore more tread will fit into grit again creating more friction .

i know this,

on a smooth road surface, deep tread will take away some of your grip, hence in forumla 1 they would prefer to always run on a soft flat tyre, if they were ran on treaded tyres the performance decrease would be astranomical

what a really good informative video you have had for all of us to watch. Thanks a lot for all your hard work

Nah it'll stay a dream for now anyways, that thing is expensive as hell to import and importing is the only way for me to get one, don't want to spend all that money right now.
if u will study hard u can get it i m doing ccie after that i can afford this car 😄

GrandRatio ok 😂
Paul - that "old" white Mk 2 (?) Escort RS that zoomed by in the background sounded a bit tasty - glad to see you stop and listen to a legend :-)
youtube cant be your full time job. What else do you do Paul?
+MrOptimisticc He makes "adult" films with Sam
i think he works for sb racing
Edward Hernandez i believe he does the social media aspect
+MrOptimisticc if im not wrong his job is to spot supercars, and i think he just films for fun.
adam Avshalomov He does run the website for SB racing and For "Supercars of London" and like insta, the videos are another avenue of revenue
Nice vid man! That MK2 Escort was awesome tho!
I honestly hadn't considered the maintenance costs of owning one outside of paying for the car itself. thanks for the video and insight!

My new lamborghini here... Sike sike appreciate your work, Paul! Keep it up!
wow man, all these years of filming cars for the world to see, and you're rocking your own these days, props man :D

I was wondering what is the expected lifespan ( range in miles) of a 2nd generation Gallardo' e-gear's clutch?
Hi Paul did you have to inform the DVLA of a change of colour? Did the mods you have done increase your insurance?
Mate, I have been watchin ur vids 4 a while but I will subs now. I think ur a cool guy no matter how u earn ur money. Very good video Paul! Just one question, Are you going to Geneva International Motor Show?
Nice video, thanks. How much is the cost to change the clutch? On the Aston Martin is around 4000 euro :)
much better without the spoiler you fitted on one of the latest videos Paul.
I've been lucky with my insurance too, I'm 18, 2nd year driving and my insurance on my 200HP Saab 9-3 vector is only £760/ year fully comp
Cool video. Seems like not a massive running cost for such a car, but appreciation/depreciation of the value of the car would be useful to factor in.
Anyone else notice the into was almost word for word to Seen Through Glasses intro for his running cost of the 4C video?
I'm 21 years old and my honda cost 842 a month to insure. Yes thats more then 10,000 in insurance for a honda. I live in NYC so that has a huge impact
Thats why I'm buying a 997 Turbo S
You mean a Beetle Turbo?
Non car guy obviously.
+jerusdc My mate just sold his 997 turbo as the gear box was on its way out after less than 30k on the clock the car had so many issues . Hope you get a good one and make sure its the facelift model

You forgot one HUGE cost...the repayments on this car, whether that be Hire Purchase, loan, Personal Contract Plan, lease or whatever, that's a large chunk of change per month.
bro I used to hate on you but all I can say now is it's gorgeous just like your key! it looks like it's painted!
really cool video mate, well done.
What happend to the DMC Wing? It look really good on your lambo.
Buy k&n air filters & you wash them instead of changing them they pay for themselves very fast & there a better filter I'm not sure if power is actually much more but it's more about not changing it every year.
are you saying that closing the exhaust valve increases the mpg or that closing it helps make you drive more frugally ?
100 Pounds is roughly $147 to fill this car up. Here in Southern California we're paying roughly $3 a gallon for 91 octane gas.
PAUL PLEASE DO A DB TEST ON THE ARMYTRIX EXHAUST. YOU DID IT STOCK SO CAN YOU DO IT AFTERMARKET?
That mk2 escort looked amazing :)
Hearing the raw costs just hits home that I have nowhere near the disposable income to even begin to think about owning car like this :(
You dont have your DMC wing on? Did you film this before you added it?
here in Croatia, for the all running cost money, u can buy a bmw m3 2010... registration and insurance is for car and it cost for one year something like 270 quid
When will you try either the launch mode or the thrust mode???
that black on red looks BADASS
When I passed my test at 17 my insurance for my 1 litre polo was 5 grand. Car insurance the dream killer
Paul you should just carry on and buy a GT-R aside and wrap it blue, chrome blue that would just b3 freaking awesome ❤💙
How long do you plan to keep the car?
Here in the States If you drive your car in what the insurance calls a wreak less manner meaning racing or speeding the insurance company could void your policy and deny all ant any claims. What happened to the third winner of the competition ?

9K for full titanium exhaust system for V10 engine- That's not bad- in fact it wouldn't suprise me if it was about the same as OEM parts.
My dads thinking of buying a Gallardo and I might have to show him this video 😂💀
I drove a Gallardo on Sunday around a Welsh testing and race track. It was fun, but it was my very first time even driving. It was an older version of yours, and not as nice. Just a stock one.
