Once again Q builds a deck that's fun but not relying on one broken mechanic to win, great stuff as usual. I think this will perform better than your Sove deck (TH has been beating Sove due to lack of tall punish).
Thank you! Btw for the Sove TH matchup you can swap Muzzle for Heatwave and throw a Spores in the bronze end just to be sure if tall punish is a concern.

Totally with you on the Devo clause on Tir Na Lia and happy it is patched now 👌 I hope they fix the SY cards soon as well! I had a blast with Reaver Spam in the last few days and wanted to move to Wild Hunt now, so your video could not have come at a better time 👌 nice List and happy you went Devotion!

Hey Q, Love the vids, you're the best Gwent content creator out there. I got.a quick question since I wanna learn to play frost: You said in the first game it's important to play into the opposite row where you apply frost. Why is that?
One bamboozled I throughly enjoyed was R3- 3/4 cards left, played 9 crow messengers via blue dream, got scorched, played a crow messenger in hand, got 36 points back
Hey man, between this and the Sove deck which one do you recommend we play this season? I'm a relatively new player and have very limited resources so I wanna know if the Sove deck which would require crafting a few more legendary cards is worth it in your opinion. Cheers!
As a newer player there is a default White Frost deck in the builder which has a lot of the cards you'll see here so it may be easier to get started. The problem with frost is that you wouldn't really want to play these cards with other monsters archetypes whereas with the Sove deck, you can include a lot of these cards in different decks across the faction and since there are many neutrals, also across the different factions. Basically, the Sove deck is a bigger investment but will take you further in the long run. Oneiromancy, Muzzle, The Mushy Truffle, Aerondight & Lady of the Lake have been staples for me.
@@Qcento Thanks a lot for the reply mate! I've been playing for less than a month now and I made it to rank 9 so I'm not that new of a player I suppose. I've been playing monster decks quite a lot and would only need to craft Tir Na Lia and Golden boy to complete this deck. Whereas for the Sove deck I only have Oneiromancy and would need to invest all my 6000 scraps to craft the other legendaries so I wanted to know whether the investment is worth it or if I should use the scraps for something else. Cheers!
Gwent: The Nilfgaard Card Game... The new Wild Hunt bronzes seem so underwhelming compared to the other bronzes of this card drop, but atleast Frost can kinda compete against the meta decks of this season.
Also I didn't catch the patchnotes so didn't know Nilfgaard had a new leader but as I've been recovering I've been replaying Witcher 3 expansion Blood & Wine 🥴 and the lore is amazing
Frost has always been my favourite but I don't think the new frost cards (apart from the fixed location card) are that good. The trader could be a good card, but the lock needs fixing, it almost never gets a lock even when it's higher on end turn after frost damage. Golden child is far too complicated for 20pts, when other factions can get a similar boost in 1 to 2 plays. Aristocrat, as you say is too easy to remove.
Idk man, I'm not gonna say the location was necessarily fair, but I don't think Northern Realms being able to do 9 damage a turn is fair, especially when ur new and forced to play a certain way. Not to mention, I played against plenty of people who shut me down trying to spam frost, Going up again a deck literally full of Geralts, NG as well is an easy counter to it.
Yeah MO Frost is now balanced, but NR Reavers is still busted, and so is TH to an extent. TH units go so tall, that unless you are playing 2-3 tall punishes you might as well give up.
tir ná lia is really broken, if you apply frost in the first round it won't let you apply the location order in the second round it doesn't work anymore...
@@meinkungfu It has always happened to me in the second round and several opponents who have to leave since the order of the placement does not work for them no matter how much frost they leave in the first round!
The frost carryover only works if the round end when there is still frost in the field.. not the total frost that u applied in that round from the beginning of the round.
Regarding the comment about comparing the TH and BT passives: Of course TH is better, since it's not restricted to a single type of card (all boosts vs only Alchemy cards) and it doesn't have a ceiling (if you have no damaged units, BT's passive turns off)
Is anyone else having problems with Tir Na Lia? I have a deck that has neutral cards and I still can trigger the order and get carryover from frost. It seems the devotion clause is broken
You should try two aen alle aristocrats, they are actually goated! Would have solved all your frost problems if left alive. Probably one of the best 5p engines in the whole game.
I bamboozled myself losing round 2 (and the game) by thinking that the frost would tick if I pass 2nd. I had a really good hand and could've won round 3 🙃
Why didnt they Hotfix Renfri or the new Syndicate cards the same they fixed Tir Ná Lia? Itsa nice topic that the content creators in my opinion need to bring them, since ure our only way of communication with the Gwent team
I believe it came down to there also being game breaking visual bugs at the same time as the needed hotfix. It seems more efficient to have the team go in and fix a few issues rather than just one. Also, I'm guilty of this too but players are always going to have something to complain about which is why I think they let the OP cards breathe a little bit before they become patched. Renfri was playing as devs intended, but I don't think they meant for frost to be played this way.
Hey, man. Imagine having a new season with completely new archetypes and still playing a Mill deck. These tragic "players" 😂 🤦🏻♂️ took your 3 best cards and still lost. 👏 💪 Made my Gwent day.
Unlike all your previous videos this one pauses for fraction of second every few seconds which makes it's unpleasant to watch. Also video is unnaturally slow when game pulling card or deploying a card.
I'm not noticing anything different with this one but I do know that they've had to put out 2 hot fixes since 10.10 as the patch had many visual bugs. Could be affecting the gamrplay here.
