If the people walk into the laser and it the alarm goes off, the people will know that there's a laser light security alarm system there so they will instantly back away and then they will try to run across it as fast as they can to make the buzzer goes off in as little time as possible. If the time the buzzer goes off is too short, it might not wake you up, you need a system where the buzzer goes off when someone walk into it and stay on forever until you turn it off.

Hi. Make sure you keep you circuit in a dark place and focus the laser light on the LDR. Because sometimes since there's plenty of light in the room the LDR may respond to that light and not to the laser light. (So make sure the only light falling on the LDR is that of the laser)

+umar liaquat This laser sensor is similar to the dark sensor so if you connected the battery in a dark room then the L.E.D will glow. Focus the laser light on the LDR.
