People can "awaken" under any set of conditions. Actually, many if not most have their moment right when pushed to what they believe is their limit.
And yes, also, my idea or version of humanity succeeding or "arriving" may have nothing to do with the ultimate conclusion.
We know sitting in bliss is a wonderful sensation, but that's only because we have the opposite to compare it to.
Once challenge is gone, a little bit of upheaval or chaos, how long before the average human being will become restless and unfulfilled?
