I own a Kawai GL10 I bought brand new two years ago. I put a deposit for a brand new Kawai GL30 (made in Japan) a few months ago. She finally arrived and I tested her out. It was a slight upgrade over my Kawai GL10 but I didn’t feel it was enough. I played the Kawai GL40 and that one made me fall in love. I also tested the GX1 (smaller but more premium). Now I’m debating on which one to get. They are both getting prepped before this weekend. I will go in Saturday and choose between the GL40 and the GX1. Which would you take?

@@gustavogo2915 I own a gl30. Wanted to hear from Halen and team how they place it in their world. I got a gl30 brand new out of the box in Aug 23. It wasn't impressive out of the box but after giving it a few months and having a professional concert technician rework it's voicing slowly it is now on the road to be a GX1. Given a second chance I would have probably gotten a gx1 and made a mistake on a gl30. But I feel giving it a year at least may just change my opinion. My gl30 today has a LOT more power than a gl10 which I played again recently. The gl40 has a slightly better low end but my technician has voiced up the low end growl on my piano. So it's mostly marginal. Finally depends on the room size 50% and 50% how well we can play. In capable hands all pianos sound great. It took me a few months to get control on the M3 action and voicing. Still working on getting to know my piano...am slowly feeling more satisfied with my gl30 purchase tbh.
