I love the fact that each dbz game on the ps2 has their own unique feature, meaning that neither of them are obsolete and you have to own each of them for differents reasons (something so rare for long franchise) : - Budokai 1 : the story mode with amazing cut-scenes just like the anime - Budokai 2 : the board game with differents inroads and unique characters (fusions and buu's absorptions) - Budokai 3 : a different story mode for each character (for example since android 19 isn't in this game, when you play as goku and you reach the android saga, you only have to beat Cell since canonically he never fights the androids and was sick for all the saga. Another hint that the original plan was to goku to retire and let his kids (gohan & goten) to be the next main heroes, but that's another topic ;) - Super Dragon ball z : For its street fighter fight style and arcade style - Budokai Tenkaichi 1 : Is unfortunetly the only skippable of all of them, the story mode isn't very interesting and it only introduced the tenkaichi (free-camera) gameplay - Budokai Tenkaichi 2 : Introduced RPG-elements and probably has the most complete and longest story mode of all ps2 dbz games, almost a hundreds fights, they're all there (dbz, the oav, GT). And you can travel on the map just like Budokai 3 - Budokai Tenkaichi 3 : The characters are talking during the fights (something that never happened) and introduced a script system : For exemple, at your 1st fight with Raditz, it's almost impossible to win with goku and piccolo, you just have to wait to push R3 to make the strory continue. Same with Nappa, you fights as tien, chiaotzu, gohan and piccolo and you lose all of them just like the anime. It's a great immersion for dragon ball fans ;) - Infinite world : Introduced mini-games just like the only one in Budokai 1 and just like Budokai 1, you have to beat the story mode one time with only the fights of goku and gohan and then you unlocks the second part of the story mode with all the others characters. The map is also very similar to the board game of Budokai 2 - DBZ sagas : has cut-scenes straight from the anime with unique objectives Sorry for the long comment and for my bad english ;)

You have to mess with the settings a bit, there's tutorials on UA-cam I used one of those. I think the version of the emulator you're using matters too.
For years people have been telling me bt2 is better than BT3 but it’s really not due to roster limitations . A lot of those fights are repetitive and the same battles . BT3 makes better use of its new characters while also having multiple stages in one chapter as well as background dialogue and changing endings . BT3 might cover less but does wayyyy more with what it has than bt2 . I mean why would you want to play future trunks saga with buu saga gohan ?there are many examples of this in bt2. Ssj4 goku being used for every single gt fight is another example
I'm hoping we get a tournament mode like the big tournament mode in sparking zero I like the randomness of the opponents on the bracket and want a randomness in regards to stages to go along with it. What would make it even better would be the ability to pick however many of your favorite stages to randomly bounce around between and maybe playing as a diff character every match like the Yamcha tournament in bt 3 does if I'm not mistaken
By the way, this is actually my favorite dbz game on the ps2. It's the most complete and I think it's the one with the best gameplay (with the rpg/tactics damages elements ... The fact that you have to guard up or down on how about your opponent will attack, etc ...). But It just feels a little weird to say the game is too long but maybe it's because you weren't ready for it, you didn't except this ;) For me, it was like saying that a GTA was too long (I mean, it's meant to be ^^). But also, we live in a time when video-games are shorter than usual just to make "easy-money" :(
@@evprince By the way, if you want a little advice/hint for Tenkaichi 3's story mode : when you see the icon R3, press it. It's not only meant for changing characters but it's also use to move on the story/events because the story mode of Tenkaichi 3 is very scrypted. They wanted to make it as accurate as the manga/anime :)
I came to the US from Mexico and didnt speak English, the only thing I could relate to was DBZ. My brother and I had a PS2 but I didn’t know what was a memory card. So we played it many times just to lose all the progress but never beat it cuz of that. I remember we spent a whole Saturday just to beat the campaign and actually did. But lost all 12 hrs of progress 😂😂. Simpler time can’t wait for sparkling zero
5:34 the SAME EXACT WAY that you feel about the OVERBEARING amount of dialog that they piled on in this game is the EXACT WAY that i feel about the HEAPS of excessive character dialog in DBS. it's just unnecessary. i understand "getting the point across to the viewer" but the way that they would just TALK NONSTOP, it's extremely annoying
With the chance now here, I want to hear your thoughts on this: Every Fusion except Kefla, Z Gotenks, Super Gogeta and Gogeta Blue is carried by the games. (Aka, Super Vegito, SSJ4 Gogeta, and Vegito Blue). Reasons: 1. Super Vegito did about two attacks, the Candy beat down on Buu, and Spirit Sword. Spirit Sword has very lame animation, and isn't as epic as it's portrayed in the games. And besides that, all Vegito did (That was memorable) was talk. 2. Ssj4 Gogeta, we all know, no need to explain. 3. First of all, Vegito Blue was never even meant to be in the Future arc. And the only memorable thing he did was the Final kamehameha which was about 9 seconds. Him punching Zamasu was popularized by Fighterz, proving my point. All he did was some basic punches, generic comboes, a spirit sword that lasted about 30 seconds, and yeah, that's it. The clash he did with Zamasu is epic, but it doesn't redeem the lameness of Vegito. Moving on to the characters NOT carried by the games: 1. Gotenks. He has a creative moveset, his most memorable move being Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack. And (At least to me), his appearance against Buu in the hyperbolic time chamber had some of the, if not the best humor in Dragon Ball. 2. Kefla fought Ui Goku in one of the most iconic Dragon Ball Fights. 3. Super Gogeta has amazing animation, and that single combo he did on Janemba is milked like crazy. He's not exaggerated, he's just as he is in the movie he originates from. 4. Gogeta Blue is arguably the only Fusion that LOOKS powerful. Lore wise, every fusion is stupid strong, but Gogeta Blue is portrayed that way much better than any other fusion. These are just my opinions, but the only reason I put them here is to hear anyone elses opinion on them.

This is one of the first games I truly 100%'d. Tried doing it again with BT3, but alas wasn't able to
the BEST DBZ game soundtrack
Can't wait for you to review the GOAT AKA DBZ BT3.
The music is so good in this game
Best game with the best music
Great Video but Turles is not Gokus Brother, they just look alike
Think it was pretty obvious he was joking lol
Question - How did you remove the outlines in the emulator? Can someone tell me? It looks so much better without the outlines
Use both analog sticks on the beams struggles
There's actually 2 PAL region covers, Europe got the Japanese cover while Australia got the US one
My favorite game out the series
I see enjoyable content I click like
Man of culture.
Your videos are great! I would even be happy if they were even more detailed!
Thanks so much! I'd actually like to start doing even deeper dives into a lot of the games I cover. Here's to that in the future!
You beam struggle sounds like an emulation issue since I never had a problem with them as a kid on original hardware.
Favorite game of all time
How do you get no outlines on the characters? it looks so clean
This is still my favorite one ❤❤ got it for Christmas of 2006
No bro u wrong. Its pleasure listen to them. Dragon ball is very important to me. The voice of goku ^^
How did he get mid super saiyan goku against super android 13?
By the way, this is actually my favorite dbz game on the ps2. It's the most complete and I think it's the one with the best gameplay (with the rpg/tactics damages elements ... The fact that you have to guard up or down on how about your opponent will attack, etc ...).
But It just feels a little weird to say the game is too long but maybe it's because you weren't ready for it, you didn't except this ;)
For me, it was like saying that a GTA was too long (I mean, it's meant to be ^^). But also, we live in a time when video-games are shorter than usual just to make "easy-money" :(
Oh yeah good way of looking at it!
14:20 This man didn't hit up the tutorial before doing anything?
A fellow False SS enjoyer? Respect to you good sir, take my like
When they remastered 1&3 I was kinda upset when they never ported a 2 remastered
Eased up on the Kid Buu battle? I HAD AN AWFUL FUCKING TIME AS A KID ON IT LMAO
hello from a new subscriber 👋
Hello 👋
I loved using items to make new characters I feel like this should of came bsck
The greatest
We just played it again and it's so good.
Why did you finish most of the modes on the easiest difficulty? Wouldn't it have been better if you tried at least on normal or hard difficulty?
A portion of them were done on higher difficulties, but many were done on easy for time.
Tournament mode was done on all difficulties.
Ah, my first love
The game has the best theme song
I am convinced I'm the best in the world at this game.
Is this video footage from a mod or something? It doesn’t look half bad for a PS2 game
No lol this is just how the game looks.
Can’t wait to see bt3
5:34 the SAME EXACT WAY that you feel about the OVERBEARING amount of dialog that they piled on in this game is the EXACT WAY that i feel about the HEAPS of excessive character dialog in DBS. it's just unnecessary. i understand "getting the point across to the viewer" but the way that they would just TALK NONSTOP, it's extremely annoying
Comment dropped.
I think “Worlds Strongest” is one of the least hated movies, pretty sure Android 13, Cooler’s Return and Broly Second Coming are all worse rated 😂
Turles isn’t Goku’s brother lol
How did they even manage to fit all this onto a DVD?
By not using uncompressed 4K textures for every individual pube on every character like modern devs do
@@QuakeGamerROTMG I miss when developers had no choice but to optimize their games for limited hardware.
My favorite and only played one
I PLAYED THIS ON THE Wii🙃
Hear from the podcast with Niosai and YourFavorite Son
That was a great time!
