I've been listening to the Jolly Rogers for 25+ years but hadn't thought about this song in a while because it's not on an album that I own. But a snippet of it popped up today on Instagram (some different singers performing it in a cathedral with no amplification) and I thought, "I know that song." And here it is. This is the version I love and remember. :)
@@Daidan0 the British Navy in the late 19th/early 20th century was referred to the "Gray Funnel Line" for the paint scheme their ships had. Each Navy at the time had a differing paint scheme to help distinguish them from others (ie, the American Navy was usually called "The Great White Fleet").
