    I'm having a fun time playing a changeling in DnD. He's been using his shapeshifting a lot more recently, so I've been trying to do different voices for different masks and personas. Luckily my table vibes with my theatre kid energy and don't mind me experimenting, lol. This has been great to watch you switch voices so quickly, I'll be watching this a few times to get the techniques down.

    This is excellent, I have watched dozens voice acting videos by many large creators and none of them stand up to this one. thank you. your channel deserves way more subs then it has.

      That's so wonderful to hear! We're a bunch of actors as well, and we love that DnD gives us a fun space to practice. Best of luck to you!

      Lol same! I could do a fairy voice all day but a dragon voice? Probably not

      Conversely, I could do a dragon voice but a fairy seems beyond my range. 😅

    Wow, this is a really good video for that :D Imma start a new cahracter next week and I wanna try a voice for the first time. I'm kind of scared but I find the Laban chart really cool and definitely gonna look into it ^-^
    The video is also really concise, amazing work

    Could you make a video wherein you show us all eight laban techniques, just so I can hear how they sound?

    Something that helps me: singing. When I try to get comfortable with a voice or accent, I try to sing in it. I am already familiar with the lyrics, so I can focus more on the voice/accent, getting more familiar and acustomed to it, getting a feel for it, which then helps me with other words.

    I'm trying these and I'm recording myself but I can't really hear the pitch difference in the recordin, but in my ear it sounds superlow
    Am I doing something wrong or the good quality microphone can't pick up the change? I'm so confused

    i want to voice my DnD characters so badly; but im just a monoaccented base bitch

    • @CharacterPlayer
      @CharacterPlayer  3 роки тому +2

      That's the great thing about the Laban Movements! Just by adjusting your pacing, cadence, pitch, or power, you can create any number of different character voices! Give it a try and have fun experimenting with them. We believe in you @thunderborn 32!

    • @thunderborn3231
      @thunderborn3231 3 роки тому +3

      @@CharacterPlayer you know what; i agree, and to me the Laban technique was mindblowingly useful. its effect is so immediate and easy to understand in comparison to learning a 'voice'

    Great video, but the voice over is out of sync
