Back in this Era. Foreign and leaser power was so common, you almost didn't bother to shoot trains. But you were glad you did.

Very nice video of the good ole days. Now you can pretty much guess what you're going to see. GEVO after GEVO. I never thought seeing an EMD leading nowadays would be a rare sight.

My dad used to run the Seaboard System piggyback with those B36-7's before it became CSXT who he retired from.

Always liked those B36's. Most of the crews did as well. Thanks for watching.

Great job! I was 18 then and ran between Sandpatch and Horseshoe Curve whenever I could, great time and memories

Thanks Robert, glad you enjoyed it. It use to be so neat up there at Sand Patch. Once they took out the code lines, it didn't take long for it to grow in.

Some old SD40s and lots of 3000hp GP40s and GP40-2s. And, old hi-cubed boxcars never seen anymore, on that train that picked them up in the yard mentioned here. Chessie had one of the all-time great paint schemes of The Modern Era.

All ways neat stuff to see leading, and freight cars in the train. Probably the cars picked up at Connellsville, were auto parts and supplies for the VW plant at New Stanton. The VW Rabbit was in production at that time, but the plant was closing real soon.

Though I grew up along the SCL part of the CSX, this takes me back. In the late 1980's, it seemed that there were more Chessie painted engines than Seaboard System, Family Lines, Seaboard Coast or L&N units on CSX trains in Georgia. I miss the variety and wish I had taken more pictures. It's easy to take something for granted.

Sure do miss those days. Then when they are gone, you kick yourself for not going out and doing more. Thanks for watching Eric.
