  • Walk with the Air Force on the dramatically busy night ramp at Nellis AFB during Red Flag on March 20, 2024. Here's how the Air Force describes it: "F-35s from Luke AFB, the Netherlands, the U.S. Marines and Denmark, taxi and take off at night during Red Flag 24-2. The integration of fifth-generation assets, such as the F-35, is a vital step toward enhancing our collective security. These advanced aircraft bring unprecedented capabilities, including enhanced stealth, sensor fusion, and network connectivity, which enable us to maintain air superiority and deter potential adversaries. The increasing number of nations obtaining F-35s in Europe signals a noteworthy trend, fostering expectations that the region will host over 600 operational F-35s by 2030."

I was stationed at Nellis AFB from 1979-1982 474TFW as a crewchief on F-4Ds& F-16s and this brought back memories of night operations. I loved the afterburners at night it was always impressive especially seeing the F-111s & B-1s thank you for bringing back the memories from a subscriber now living in Southern California retired as a aircraft mechanic from McDonnell Douglas Boeing in Long Beach
