Very sorry about the time signatures. Those are clearly wrong, the intro is either 3/4 or 6/8 and the verses are presumably in 4/4. I had little time when transcribing it and ended up getting it wrong. Thanks for watching and appreciating the video anyway!
Thank you so much for these videos, they were one of the reasons why I picked up the bass! They're so helpful, definitely one of the best on UA-cam. Thank you againnnn! xxxx
Nice! Great playing and tone, and thanks for transcribing it! Also, just curious where did you hear that Stu played the bass on this one? Just curious to know if he played bass on some of the other tracks because the bass really takes the spotlight on a lot of them, and it's definitely my favorite King Gizzard album so far.
Jacob Sanchez Thanks man! A guy posted pictures of the CD booklet on the Facebook fan page. It's funny how Lucas doesn't play bass on any tracks, it's mostly Stu or Joey, and Cook plays Rolling Stoned!
Your times signatures make me hurt inside but great cover. I'd put the intro on 3/4, main verses in 12/8, waltz bridge/second verse in 3/4, then rest on 12/8 again
True man. I actually tried to put the intro and outro in 3/4 or 6/8 but the score wouldn't make any sense, the riffs wouldn't fit, so that was my own way of getting round the problem. Not the best I agree! Will pay more attention in the future.
Flavius Josephus fender jazz deluxe straight into focusrite Scarlett 2i2, then recorded with garageband. I'm mostly eq-ing on my bass as it's active, only using garageband to record really. I then have a little grasp on mixing and do the final mix myself. Pretty easy I'd say!

The intro is 3/4 but I'm quite sure most of the rest of the song is in 12/8.
Ian is right - verses are 12/8
listening to this over and over and over again
Spectacular playing; you are an angel for transcribing this
Fav track and bass on this album. Cheers mate
