Yal do know that regardless of who's there when the team comes out for SU they gonna play the teams theme song period! As someone who marched I know we like to believe it's about us but if there's no football game the band usually doesn't move unless parades or events outside of football season. But they are there to support the team and represent the school. The dancers/aux are merely apart of but not the band. The band can and has moved without dancers and or aux as people hear the band. Even the song selection isn't picked for dancers and people say that all the time so need more fast or this or that. The band showcases musicality and technical ability with tunes for our liking not vice versa. Then there's rivalry like with gsu,JSU, ASU etc. don't forget 98' we fought pvamu so it's always been up and heated from there
Seemed like they played because their team was coming out and it would be awkward to have another band playing while YOUR team is coming out. Then, they played again because it would've been their turn. It would've been wise for ASU's band to pause while the opposing team came out. Especially since SU's gonna drown you out anyway.
@@wellsincewerehere773 SU plays over other bands all the time, not just when the football team comes out. They're not the only band who does that either. That crap is disrespectful and annoying and the HBCU bands only do it to each other. When they go to PWIs its all about unity tho🙄.
Gotta be on your best behavior for massa, but for other Black people it's derogatory language and behavior.
We have to do better as a people. The toxic culture needs change for the better. The point of HBCUs is to uplift Black people. That unity needs to be reserved for other HBCUs and Black people.

Hey, I’m back with your random doll fact that no one asked for lol. The count thrown at mm 9:20 was of course created by the great Kala Pitman. She first threw it at the Boombox Classic in 2015. This was the dolls first reflection count ever thrown. After that, Danielle Stamper added several reflection counts to the doll book in years 16 and 17 and now we have well over 10 reflection counts in the book. You’re welcome lol 😂🤷🏾♂️
She actually threw it at the botb first bayou classic. And it’s not the first reflection count. First one was done in 2005.
@@johnnyappleseed1988 I don’t remember seeing a reflection count in 2005 nor do I remember them throwing any legendary doll counts currently that would be brought from 2005. Do you have any footage or a link? I would love to see it. And yes I do remember her throwing it both times
@@JerDeCor2007 I’ll have to find footage of it, but it was a simple count. Lo and Behold. Aamu divas took the count and Dolls never threw it again

Dolls definitely ate down!!! I was thoroughly entertained as usual!! Kyres count selection is A-1 💙Band sounded strong and Dolls danced for dear life!! Keep an eye on Soija and Jahmaiyah!! GG’s were clean but I’m just not feeling them.. idk maybe at this point in the season the girls could actually make it into the stands to dance! Show us what you got!

I don't know who made the Dolls mad but I'm sure am glad they did. They seemed so energetic and happy to be outside of their box.. They were quite aggressive and technical at the same time without either dampening the other. Of course everyone knows the GG's have been doing this for years and have set the standard for pulling off. expected ASU to walk away with this one but eh Dolls pushed themselves to a victory. Still it was a great battle and I enjoyed what I saw from both squads. Did the GG's downsize for a reason this year or did it just happen? Then does size really matter with these slayers.

We need more new 16 counts from dolls they dont have thst effect thry used to because of over use. Like throw one then dont repeat that takes too much time repeating 16 catch on's. Also kyre gets lost then nervous and she misses a lot of opportunities for sit downs and leabe the girls standing looking confused. Cavi is either too fast or on wrong counts and shes a vet so... I love the way the season is going but those My takes. Also haley or naomi gonna be captain
