"TikTok has countless trends that come and go and recently we’re all talking about the one Serbian dancing lady who was filmed in the street at night.
Users are saying they’re terrified after the eerie figure was recorded dancing in the street and uploaded on the app. People are trying to work out who the woman is and whether she’s even a real person or a ghost. Here’s everything we know about the true story behind the dancing Serbian woman on TikTok:
The video of the Serbian dancing lady was uploaded to TikTok last month
So the video was posted in February earlier this year by an account with no bio and only @aatc13 for a name. The caption on the video said: “Be careful guys,” followed by the hashtags #dancingladyserbia and #horror.
The clip has had over 78 million views and over 6.5 million likes. The comments are full of people expressing their fear over the woman and her dancing. Some TikTokers replied saying: “Imagine she turns around and sees you at the window.”
The Serbian dancing lady has become a TikTok meme
So it’s not just people being scared of the Serbian dancing lady, others are also making memes too. One person took the video and added the caption: “When your teacher won’t let you go to the bathroom” but obviously the backing track takes away a lot of the humour and makes you think back to the horror version.

It's crazy to see how Bill BARLEY changed his style of videos for the past 7 years. I respect that you haven't fallen for very poppy and colorful editing style that most people do nowadays. KEEP IT UP BILL.
A local UA-camr did a video on this, and met a building manager from that street, who essentially confirmed that the dancing lady is (or was) real. Her name was Dobrila, and she passed away some time ago. Obviously she was ill, but was noted to have a "twisted, folksy sense of humour". As for the knife incidents, she couldn't confirm if those were real. Likely there was indeed a case of this woman threatening someone with a knife at some point, but then the rumours sorta merged into a "killer clown" type thing, and an urban legend was created online.

I would say real. I grew up in a rural town where this kind, but mentally ill man, would stand on the corner everyday, allday, looking up at the mountain, waiting for aliens to come down and pick him up in a UFO. He claimed he was picked up once, and became friends with aliens. He eventually passed away, and his death made the county news. The city that was 30 minutes away, also got to see the news of his death, and they turned him into an urban legend. They said that this man would stand on the corner, waiting for the "perfect human specimen" to walk by him, so he could kill and disect you, to send your body parts to his alien friends. It's been 15 years since he passed away, and it seems like everyone forgot about how kind he truly was. Literally everyone avoids the corner he once stood at. So in my opinion, i feel like this dancing lady rumor could have started from almost anything. It doesnt have to be a case of brutality to turn into an urban legend.
It's an old Serbian legend, because when we have camping in the forest it's called Uranak, earlier my grandfather and his brother used to dress up as an old Serbian woman and scare all those drunk people, but he thinks it's even a true legend, because when you pass by that... you mustn't make any sound, because you can die, and the legend says that when the mother was taking the child next to her, she had to tell the child not to make a sound...after three days the mother died...

i'm serbian myself and allthough i don't live in belgrade, i remember everyone talking and posting on ther ig story about this in 2019. apparently the infamous dancing lady is a drug addict, and the reason why she's dancing and chasing people around with a knife is because she's in a crisis as she doesn't have the money to buy drugs anymore. it's funny that people are calling it an "urban legend" cause it's something that actually happened, allthough she was maybe seen 2 or 3 times in 2019, dk if where she is today since the most recent video honestly doesn't seem too believeable for some reason. but yeah, in conclusion, she's real.

Im not trying to disrespect anyone, or anything, but why do people think she's some demon? I think it just a mentally ill person. For the record I believe in stuff like that
Its actually real. The dancing part its just to bait attention, once someone checks up on her, she chases them with a weapon or bare handed. She never really killed anyone yet. She is a normal human, nothing paranormal, just a mentally sick person.
Police cannot rly interfere since its not really a criminal as long as she didnt even touch anyone yet, but there is an ongoing investigation on who she is once the videos popped up again. Everyone is advised to not go at night into that area, and if you are in home, just ignore her.
She is a human, she fant fly, cant break in, she is just sick in head so just avoid.

For now the only reasons I believe in it its cause im from Romania and Serbia its basically our neightbor, i live on the western side aswell and I do have a few serbian friends who explained me this story.
Also we got it on a romanian news channel aswell, advising people to not "expore" at night in general cause people like her could start influencing others indirectly into doing the same thing.
Again, she is just a human and never killed anyone, maybe she just wants to inflict fear for her own entertainment, but yeah its still a bit scary.
