@Bradley Phillips YT great video! I was trying to share your QWK Challenger Pro Max video to a colleague who is keen to purchase it, but that video seems to have disappeared from your channel, is there anything wrong with that AEG?
I really wanted to like flywheels, but seeing all the janky motors smoking and dart foam flying has steered me far away from them. That and the inaccuracy and form factor. I just think folks have tried to push that tech farther than foam darts can really go. I do think they have a place in low priced low-FPS (sub 150) blasters, though.
Great review, thank you. That guy you tagged in the ear was NOT happy, though. Ow! Stuff like that makes me want to bring my old paintball mask to games in the future.
Aeb s are so close. Six more months and two more generations and I think they will be at a good price point. With all the bugs worked out. I can’t wait to see where this is all leading.
HPA isnt popular because not only is it very expensive, but its banned in most nerf fields and in a few countries where nerf is popular (SG and China come to mind that either ban HPA or its a grey area)
Absolutely LOVE seeing AEBs gaining traction in the space, but this just ain't the one for me yet. The Talon incompatibility, mid build quality, and awful looking magwell just breaks the deal for me. But this is another important stepping stone to the perfect and affordable AEB - it can't come soon enough.
So, I really liked your review of this blaster and I love the gameplay of you putting in work with it. This video cemented my purchase and at my local 150 fps games this thing is an absolute menace! I am looking to get the bk-1s handguard and barrel (I have the bk2s)
More footage of you playing and talking about strategy and team play please! You have some of the best gear reviews would love to see you mix in some tournament play and see the corses you play on. Check out “paint ball ruined my life”. Does a great job breaking down corses and team play.
I've been on the fence about the two BKs's compared to the Storm and Scales but I think your review has tilted me in it's favor. It was the fact that it's under 200 fps and used unique mags. But I have plenty of blasters that can go well over 200 fps and priming those can get tiring after a game or two ( it would be nice for a change to have accuracy AND a higher ROF ) and the mags cost less than a talon.
It looks like you can use an oring in lieu of the c-clip on the barrel and the act of cinching down the barrel nut will squish the oring and create barrel retention tension.
Is a good deal, not perfect but reasonable, but to me is a bit of a dealbreaker the fact that is not talon compatible. I only want old full lenght mags and talontype mags, the rest of my blasters with different amunitions have internal mags, drums... But that is me, maybe most don't care.
I tried the zius darts in a variety of blasters (nexus pro x, swift, wasp 76): all appear to be more consistent than worker. I'd love for you to test them out! I got EKind ones off Amazon which are identical to the zius darts.
While I think the rise or great AEB’s is great for people who don’t have airsoft, for people who live in places that do have airsoft and mag fed paintball this will really blur the lines between these hobbies. The biggest thing that separates these hobbies is the projectiles and the mechanisms that shoot them, springers and flywheelers provide the perfect dichotomy for nerf gameplay, you’re making obvious trade offs for the benefits that each provides. Airsoft and paintball don’t really have this same dichotomy for different firing mechs that nerf does. But if AEB’s become popular then there is no real reason for picking either, and this hobby, to me, loses part of its charm. But that just the perspective from some guy in the US, I’m sure this is great for people who don’t have airsoft or paintball.
Do you consider this blaster better than a colonel wasp 76? If so, how? Either way, I’m getting it. I’m just curious to know why you would think it’s better.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT pretty easy if people are comfortable modding nerf guns. you'll need a 3d printed slide-on/clip-on magwell flare though, as the front screw post will get reduced in the process. I've got some barrel adapters (threaded & unthreaded) in beta testing to give more options. stock pusher is slightly more than 13mm diameter (stock barrel chamber ID is 13.4mm and quickly transitions down to 13mm) so by default you can't use 'standard' sized barrels.
@@BradleyPhillipsYT yup, i'm testing w/ my 2 seagull barrels (1 is longer than the stock bk1s barrel and the other is shorter). M16x1 threaded, should hopefully have some chrono numbers in a few days, i don't have a good setup to compare accuracy though. worker barrels are 13mm at both chamber & muzzle, so the stock pusher + o-ring combo won't work with them without either using a coupler (which i'm designing & testing) or lightly sanding down the tip of the pusher & swapping to a slightly smaller o-ring so that it can fit into the chamber (air seal testing w/ the smaller o-ring also coming soon)
Wow. That was a glowing review. I'm hyped to get one. How does it compare to the Colnel wasp 76? Also, how hard would it be to lube all the moving parts after a full day of use?
Battery would only affect rate of fire, spring and barrel could push it further but given the price point I don't think it would survive long with a stronger spring. I'm sure people will try though.
seems like a good prototype. looking forward to a release version where they fix the blatant problems like the jam door, mag well, and fire the person who decided proprietary anything was acceptable. not to mention the obvious black parts being replaced with less scary looking parts. Why would anyone who is even slightly interested in this hobby release this thing as is? I genuinely don't understand.
Nerf is whatever you want it to be, as opposed to Airsoft which is pretty much stuck in milsim. UMBC HvZ this spring had the whole gambit of people with plate carriers full of darts... and others running around with a modified Retaliator and ONE extra mag and surviving to the final stand.
If it's AEGs that make it "wannabe airsoft", we've had modded Stampedes for over a decade now. If it's the realistic design of the blaster, we've had Retaliator and Stryfe body kits for over a decade as well.

that coop callback was great

250fps version competition ready coming soon
Will have to see if it survives that kinda power long term
I don't prefer calling hits, kills. I mean, when we tag someone, we don't kill them. Just my preference.
For the purposes of the game, a hit player is dead until they respawn. You don't call it getting a tag in video games now do you?
