I never played black and white but man, out of all of the games its the one that just screams high production value. Im amazed that they managed to animate every single pokemon sprite, its a shame they didn't last more than a single game.

Thisi is pure nostalgia. I can't even say which generation is the most nostalgic to me. They all hold a special place in my heart. That's why I keep replaying all of them.
I wish 3d Pokémon games would create new animations since it feels way too recycled since XY.

@@nyomnyaam9856 creating new animations takes a lot of time, time which could be used on more important things and if they were to take more time on Pokemon games, I don't want a majority of that time to be taken by creating new animations for old stuff, which is what they would have to do.
They should took the animation from XD and Colosseum tbh, the Pokemon on those games feel more alive compared to the recent ones

I'd say it made the biggest jumps from gen 2 to gen 3 and from gen 5 to gen 6.
Gen 5 and 6 best they have good level design and a lot of beautiful views

I liked how powerful the moves look before. Compare earthquake before and now its insane. In Gen 9 you jus see a few broken rocks appear under the pokmeon. That seems to be the new trend for Gen 9. The move animations dont cover much of the field. Only a small spot. Or they just appear under the pokemon.
Who else played Gold/Silver as their first Pokemon games???
This was really great. I really love how nostalgic the old pokemon games are, i also played almost all of the pokemon games when i was younger and i still like the pokemon games too. I really miss the 2d sprites from pokemon red/blue and pokemon fire red too.
The Pokémon let’s go pikachu was my favorite when it came out in 2018 I wanted that game so badly and that’s the first Pokémon game I ever had. ✌️
I'd say gen 3 made the biggest jump. I love the RSE aesthetic. After that, Gen 6 made the second largest jump. I remember losing my mind over being able to walk diagonally, but looking back: gen 6 feels a bit awkward. I'm sure that is what gen 8& 9 will feel like in 10 years. It's a huge jump towards open world, but it's still clunky.
Gen 8 and 9 already looked outdated when they came out.

Eh imo artstyle can help a game look more appealing so even if the game is old, it’s aged well enough that the graphics don’t really look atrocious
@@thefatbearcrew Generation 1 had limited graphics for a reason because of the hardware. I mentioned SV being the worst because of the incompetence that it is better to make the characters be like they are from an anime, and see if a character is a male or female without much of talking like the "boy or girl" option.
nah scarlet and violet have worst graphics apart from pokemon models. pokemon SWSH was more polished and better graphics
For me the best graphics are from gen 3 and 4. The are the best and the most nostalgic

Yeah, I think OR/AS are the last good Pokémon games. The camera change on sun and moon was the wrong turn. The more they tried to make open world games and the more the world started to look empty and devoid of details.
Gen3 the best, such lovely colors and the games were so smooth overall

1. Because there was already a season pass which allowed you to get all dlc, another dlc would lose them money
2. The game is called legends arceus? What would the other game be called? Only possibility is legends girantina, but as you saw in the movie; even girantina is no match for arceus
All box covers are pokemon of equal strength, groudon vs kyogre for example
There is ‘lore wise” no pokemon that can match arceus so you cant make a game revolving around its opposite

As soon as the character models became 3d the artstyle died. BW was the best artstyle. I don't necessarily mind the Pokemon themselves being 3d, but the 2D characters just feel so much better to me.

Game Freak owns part of Pokémon. I believe the other owners are Nintendo and Creatures, Inc.
Game Freak would have to agree to fire itself.

...I'd use a similar example, but given that Pokémon is the biggest media franchise in the world, there's no better example. Which kinda makes the point: Game Freak would be more likely to let Pokémon die in its hands than to let it flourish in a potential competitor.
