Basically Monte Cristo gains a 5% special damage resist against servants with the "hellfire of vengeance" debuff but before the fix it always trigger regardless if you are actually debuffed or not. This is not very noticeable in the normal version as his HP is pretty low but the 5% difference allow certain units to min turn the super version easier.

According to the description, the boss has minor damage resistance (5%) against characters who have a certain debuff, and that the original version had a bug that made it activate regardless of whether or not a character had that debuff.
