- In the approved apparitions of Medjugorje, Our Lady echoed Church teaching and Scripture, saying: "God desires to convert the entire world; He desires to call it to salvation and to the way to Him, who is the beginning and the end of every being” (25 June 2007). But this past week, Pope Francis said, "All religions are paths to God." But are they? Join Daniel and Mark as they walk through Francis's off-the-cuff remarks...

The Pope said " every religion is a way " every religion has a ray of truth . He knows that Christ is THE way . He knows that Christ is The TRUTH . After all the Pope is the Vicar, the representative of Christ on earth . The Pope says God is God for All . Our Lady of Medugorje says " My Son does not divide the pie of religion" . The Pope was glad and IMPRESSED that the the small interreligious group of 8 was communicating and not quarreling . Dialogue is good . Jesus commands us to go out and preach the Gospel . Clearly He does not want us quarreling but communicating with the people who have never heard the gospel . We have a wonderful Pope at 86 who is interested in spreading the gospel. We should emulate him !

I guess the Pope is used by God to do a different approach by peaceful understanding. What ever he loose on earth is loose in Heaven. Don't worry the tares and wheat will be divided in the end.

Division is heartbreak. we share her heartbreak. heartbreak happens in families. it happens in violence, in sin. Does Jesus then in your quote tell us He is making sin rise up amoung us? There is more to that bible verse than just that.

But they have NOT approved it. The Vatican is condoning the 'use' of it, not the alleged apparition.
He was 'implying' all religions are the same? He clearly stated it, he didn't just 'imply' it.
This is basic Catholicism 101....this professor should know it when he hears it.
hahhaha well the apparitions are on going! so The Church will not go there jet. But Queen of Peace, her Message and the Fruits are appproved with Nihil obsata. And the Church says the visionaries are humens.

Mark!! I also have this incredible notion that we (our world) is living the Passion. I can't even explain it. But as things transpire, I see the passion of Christ in our broken world. I see the world mirroring His journey to Calvary. And in the horrendous state of our world I see His bloodied body and face in the wars throughout the world. And I know that if our world must come to a dire "ending" .... that it won't be, because the world will be resurrected as Christ is. Alleluia.

All humans are God's creation, made in God's Image. God's children are only those who love God the Father - the creator, recognize his only son Jesus Christ, and receive the Holy Spirit.

no one comes to the Father except through Jesus. We have to realise that this is because of Jesus not because of what we do. He will bring this about. Even people from other religions will be brought to the Father through Christ.

My dog actually did comment on this, and he said that Bergolio’s theological understanding is quite “ruff”. His words exactly.
It was a golden opportunity lost, failing to introduce the King of Kings, and the Lord of Lords, for those who came to listen..... He didn't even mention Jesus once, not publicly.

I have come to understand that the Church is the Protector of the Truth. That is why there is a misconception of the Catholic church BEING the Truth. The church HAS ALWAYS taught that there is a little truth in all religions. Why people so shocked The FULNESS of Truth is in her... let the "little ones" come to Me. Don't forget to not fall into the trap of religious pride either. This is all a test.

There is a Message in the book of Messages of Our Lady that says: We Catholics have the truth, but we must respect all religions because they were born in them. We will be judge by how much we love....
Catholics who leave the truth to practice another religion are not doing the right thing....but the others will be judge by how they practice practice and how they love.
I think it is what the Pope means.
Not all religions seek the same God, and some religions are both wrong and potentially dangerous, materially and spiritually.
Catholics believe that Jesus Christ, once and forever, revealed to all humanity who God is. He redeemed us by his death and resurrection, and he gave us the commission to bring all humanity to him. As our faith teaches very clearly, it is only Jesus Christ who saves. Christ is not merely one among other great teachers or prophets.
Man is searching for Truth. Example: A man may search in Hinduism, but it will leave him empty. So he turns to Islam. But finds himself wanting more. He turns to Catholicism and he finds the Truth. So those other religions provided the springboards that catapulted him to the One, True religion: Catholicism.
That rarely happens; like a protestant crosses the Tiber bypassing Rome Catholicism and heads east to the Orthodox but then discovers Catholics were right all along.
But true we are all on different spiritual paths and some do end up in dead ends.
As St. Paul preached two thousand years ago, the search for God can take many imperfect forms, but they are each an imperfect search for the one, true, triune God of Sacred Scripture. Paul condemns false religions and preaches Jesus Christ as the reality and fulfillment of the unknown God whom the Greeks worship.

Pope St John Paul II liked Medjugorje Pope Benedict was not sure Pope Francis in his 11th year of his papacy approved Medjugorje as it took 11 years for the Vatican to approve Fatima.
When PJP II was shot attempt on his life May 13th 1981 he visited Fatima to thank Our Lady for his life.
From May13th to June 24th 1981 42 days end times number; St John the Baptist feast day the Blessed Virgin appeared in Medjugorje.

The supposed apparitions were *not* approved, but certain devotions there were.
It was indeed given the highest approval possible, “This document authorized the granting of a nihil obstat (Latin, “nothing obstructs”)…” said the document.
There is much more to the document, but the approval given is the highest possible for a continuing apparition.

Catholic means 'UNIVERSAL" one in Christ for sure, but not belonging exclusively to the Catholic group of Christian sects. Also, where did Jesus say "all" may be one? I only find Jesus saying that "THEY" may be one. "They" meaning His Church.

Popes for 40 years did not approve Medjugorje and 2 weeks before the hellish Synod, the apparitions are approved? Is this not a tactic so we trust Crdl (stonecutter) Fernandez in order to push the new horizontal church during the Synod next month?... and to change the wording of the Eucharistic Liturgy? No, this is not by accident...this is how stonecutters work and you really have to be guided by the Holy Spirit to smell an evil plan in the works...
