Denuvo DRM got removed from The Callisto Protocol, so I re-tested the game!

After removing the Denuvo DRM officially by developers, the game runs much smoother without any stutters. There are two APIs available: DX11 and DX12. I suggest trying both to see which one works better for your system. In my experience, DX12 was more stable, but it could vary depending on your specs. I've also fine-tuned the settings for each GPU to balance quality and performance. These settings should maintain a solid 60 frames per second. Feel free to use them for the best gaming experience!

If developers can't optimize properly, they shouldn't bother adding DRM as well. All the more reason to buy games on sales rather than launch. Being patient will get a better version of the game for less money.

I just downloaded it yesterday, I tested it on my RX 6650 XT and in medium graphics it runs on average at 90-100 fps, no shuttering and very fluid, denuvo is a cancer that harms the consumer too much.

@@mindrover777 The Dev team. Apparently you need to pay a monthly fee to keep Denuvo "protecting" your game. Which hurts your sales in the long run because it hurts the games performance. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.

is this why the game used to stutter a lot before ?
because I installed Dead space a while back on my gamepass and it was stuttering so much , that i had to quit the game. It was giving great framerates at medium to high settings but it had so many microstutters and sudden fps drops like going from 60 - 20 or 15 ,
I think that game will also run smoother if the DRM is removed from it too.
Dead Space is suffering from traversal stutters which are unrelated to DRM meanwhile calsito for several months, suffered from shader compilation stutters, which were later resolved through patches

The writing is definitely better but the map might trigger you if you dislike Ubisoft open worlds. Its full of camps to clear out among other stuff. Personally i dont like that kind of open world but its a fun game. Worth getting if you have a strong PC and want to experience the story and the Photo Mode is incredible too.
Ubisoft is trash, don't you dare compare zero dawn or forbidden west to any of their hot garbage.
