Toyota is reluctant to update technological features because they've to determine how they fit in their "Built to last" vehicles. I'm from a village, i go home a lot and there's no tar so the most obvious choice would be a Fortuner or Mux but the Everest just looks amazing man!
I have drove from JHB to King Shaka International Airport with a 2.8 GD6 Fortuner, we were 2 in the car with a full boot, we filled up in Midrand Sasol and we arrived in King Shaka International Airport with just more than a half tank taking to account that we were driving at high speeds with cruise control. So yes the Fortuner can easily do over 700km on a long distance.
@@zukisamnyiphika2612 No jokes man, simple math, 80L tank at a highway average fuel consumption of about 8.4 to 9l/100km, you looking at about 850km +, however city driving will give you different numbers.
The last time I went to Johannesburg I overslept and was very late for my meeting. Filled up in Empangeni and left. Rarely went under 140km/h and still made it there with about 1/4 tank.... Also that seat belt you see at the back, you can tuck it into the roof out of sight. Next time when you get a car for review. Take your time to play around because the plug for that belt is very clear. It's not even hidden you just had to look.
Awesome review. test drove the fortuner yesterday. Dated, not for everybody but will stand the test of reliability especially if you're in the middle of nowhere. A simple trip to Namibia will sway most. Hilux and Fortuner are the mainstays.!
Mr Nash! Look one thing I can tell you now is that the possibility of them adding a sunroof and updating the interior to be very modern won’t happen anytime soon. Toyota is building cars to last for years not with idea of keep trading in😂 Yes here and there they could have tried but still it’s selling like hot cakes. They know their market and clients. Basically if you want a sunroof they want you to go to the Prado which is the real hardcore daddy with little moré capability (albeit still having a dated interior) I think I would rather add more money if I could and just get a Prado😮
Hey guys I don't really know much about cars. Is the 2.8L engine far different from the 2.4L one in terms of fuel consumption? Like is it that crazy and noticeable?
I own the 2.4GD6 and the fuel consumption is very good especially on the highway. I do on average 110- 120km/h and i can do 980km on a single tank. My friend owns the 2.8 and he complains that he does about 760km, which i still think is reasonable considering he like to step on the pedal. My 2.4 is mainly for school runs and local driving for my wife and its sufficient power and torque at 400Nm
Listeni to the people Toyota update your performance and outdated cabins damn man don't forget the sunroof issue too you've got something good here Cape Town South Africa 🌍♥️
Ford is too woke and not dependable. Even Americans no longer support Ford but rather support Toyota. One fortuner will outlast 10 new Everests as Toyota tests 10x more than any other company.
The car looks great that touch of maroon color it's yhaa, but I would have wanted to know what you think about that JBL sound Nick, but yhaa overall it's a cool SUV
That infotainment system is antiquated. It cannot be in a R1m car. Toyota already offer their new updated systems in other international markets, so the idea that they’re sticking with it because it’s “tried and tested” doesn’t cut it for me. They’re doing it to cost cut. I think you’re better off just buying a low mileage pre-facelift model from the used market… You’re getting the very same car.

With the 2.4 gd6 you are looking at atleast 1000 ks on a tank super fuel saver but a little slow.
How much did you fill it up for
The back-middle seatbelt can be tucked into the roof so it does not dangle.

Can anybody tell me the dimensions of the boot space without the 3rd row? Thank you!

This is my dream car I like it.
looking good externally , hows the sound quality
It’s okay not the best. Could definitely be better
Love this car, especially in white and silver
Toyota is always the best, last forever
One of my favourite SUVs after Ford Everest and Range Rover SVR
Manifesting this one ✨
I'll personally go for the Ford Everest. The Fortuner and Isuzu MuX are no competitors for Ford Everest.

Certainly the Ford everest 💯👌
Beautiful color and nice exterior 👌,but I go for ford everest 😊
yo better have AA on speed dial
Wagesho Khaya Mogomane and on the fortuner you must have 10111 on the speed dial.
@@siphelelesibisi8863😂😂😂nice one!

I wasn’t impressed with the JBL sound system though
Ohhh....so cute, beautiful and pretty...I'd go for EVEREST though...😅...more 😎👍

💯 agree with you, lawl
Personally not a fan of Toyota interiors
infortainment is okay, five years down the line these fancy one will be outdated,
My one day is one day ❤❤
I like your review

Overall its a good looking car most people can afford I ove it
toyota is not made to impress but to last
You can secure that dangling seatbelt in the roof
Yeah those sits don't hinder your rear view, but their mere presence is irritating.
Same as Corolla cross 👍🏽
I drive a fortuner and you incorrect with many key items you talked about...not accurate at all
New one Over priced and smaller old one bigger pay less
Toyota is too focused to reliability, and unfortunately overlook technology, design and trends.
I love this car but owning one seems like such a health hazard, I'd rather go for something else
Applying for a death penalty, with them crime levels man...
I would rather go for a 2 .4 L manual one than 2.8 L auto
Why?
The front grill is poorly done back view is much better inside poorly done
All your exterior shots are the same
Toyota Fortuner for me all the way. Ford will end up in the graveyard after 4-5 years 😂
Bad commentary
Just a nother boring toyota
