The back design is insanely good looking, even more than the Nothing phone. Probably because they included the orange stripes and metallic reflections. But very less glyph lights than Nothing. I was expecting Snapdragon on this one since it's a gaming phone.

@@Carcosahead i haven't played on emulators yet since i dont really play emus at all. You can search either TECNO CAMON 20 PRO 5G (the one I use) or INFINIX NOTE 30 VIP for emulator performance/gameplay. Last time I check there were some issues, but was fixed after a system update

Compare and contrast it with the aforementioned NOTE 30 VIP, which has even more perks like a greater 65watts changing brick, 50watts wireless charging, reverse wireless charging, and even more RAM. I know all this because, I use said NOTE 30 VIP, LOL!😂
This seems like a very good option for me. Seems to have everything I'm looking for. The big caveat is the software support. If they're not giving a long life of sucurity updates and a decent amount of Android upgrades then I'm not interested.
Tbh they are notorious for not giving major os updates. But I think because of the massive number of infinix note 12 users and its demand on os update, it seems to me like they were forced to release it on the note 12 series as well as their zero lineup
Infinix provides 1 year android update so you will get android 14 for this device and 2 year security updates. For the features and price this is probably a must have for any avid gamer on a budget. To add even more, I like when there is only 1 variant for a phone and not like other brands who has the base, pro, pro+, ultra with each one having a different price and features.
I still don't get it why the GT 10 Pro didn't bother making the RAM fully 12 GB? I mean their other phone the Infinix Note 30 VIP has a physical 12 GB RAM (and can also be expanded too)

1 question... as I have understood over the years - India (where I am from), is a very huge market for smartphones of all price ranges as people's tastes and financial backgrounds vary a lot. Reviewers in India, unless they are paid promoters or just starting out or are under embargo restrictions... tend to also highlight information on whether the devices are dual SIM (mostly a standard now in India as many use one SIM as primary and another for data usage owing to lower data cost than their main vendor) and if dual, whether the 2nd slot is hybrid or not. I understand devices named similarly in other countries may have other specifications, but does it matter to consumers there (owing to vendor lock in etc).. or is the SIM applicability similar. Eg. I have been happily using my dual SIM Samsung M33 from India in USA for the past 1 year with my Vodafone India SIM in 4G mode and Lycamobile US SIM in 5G mode while also using a 256 GB microSD for media storage, without any issues. Just curious

After having my Infinix Zero X Neo for 1 year and 7 months I have to say that this phone is perhaps one of the worst (if not the worst) phones I've had in terms of quality. For example, the SIM tray broke one day after I gently pulled it out, the camera isn't really good, and just today the loudspeaker suddenly just sounded raspy. Mind you, I don't play loud music or anything using the loudspeaker. In terms of software, XOS also feels not very well-thought-out and I have noticed some bugs. Very picky when it comes to flash drives too, unlike my older Redmi phone which is actually much older. Overall, not only is the hardware not very durable but the software experience just feels disjointed and a bit amateurish, with bugs and bad grammar too. It all feels like eating a cheap buffet. Would I buy Infinix again? I dunno. Maybe I'll give them a few years and check again.

While playing games it takes power directly through the charging cable instead of relying on battery.
And that's the best part for a budget gaming phone.

you usually get a ton of security updates over a long time but not many system ones over a short period in my experience
