Optical illusion. Mouthpiece volume is not subject to customization. If shallower it must be wider and vice versa in proportion, to achieve a baseline volume to work with the instrument. My Wick mouthpieces look very shallow next to Bach mouthpieces but it's really just an illusion, they are equally deep inside.
This has got to be one of the highest quality live recordings I have ever heard in my life.

I keep hearing little references to " the Minstrel Boy", but all I get is a lot of various playing technics with a try for humour. You get a C+
Actually there is a tag line on the manuscript, "A Fantasy on British Folk Songs"
