it’s probably a consequence of how there’s really not that many items that’d make sense as a hidden weapon that are also something everyone is guaranteed to be already carrying around a normal version of.

Considering you can turn it on somewhere safe, and then pull it out already enabled is a real option to staying quiet just the little bit longer.

the esword is also "ONLY" a 4x4. So the concept is mute as the esword unlit is a 1x2. Just WAY louder than the edagger.

Its very cool... But I don't think i'd ever use it over the cybersun pen. The low humm and activation sound is just too distinctive, at least with the cybersun pen theres a chance people may just shrug off the stabbing noises as "Usual Station Shennanigans" and ignore it.

one time i called in two monkey reinforcements and gave them both energy pens. after much opportunity seeking (and somehow nobody being suspicious of two sentient monkies holding pens in mainta) i just told them to force themselves into science and murder RD (needed the hand tele). this somehow worked, but i wasnt able to stealthily take the teleporter when reviving the RD later on. big praise to the pen monkies, though, the RD died despite having speed boots
