Thanks for the unboxing video, love all your review videos. Just purchased Breville Oracle Jet few weeks ago, really love it. Watching from South Carolina, U.S.A.
I love your channel Tom and I think you do great reviews and give lots of good advice. One area I disagree with you though is adjusting the inner burr on the sage/breville machines before you even try them. SOOO many people do this now for (IMO) no reason. These internal grinders aren't zeroed from the factory so it makes no sense to arbitrarily make an adjustment without testing. Thanks for all the great content!
Fair enough! But of all the Sage machines I have had, when I left them at the default setting, and dialed down as fine as the grinder would grind, it would still be too coarse for espresso. Therefore, I change it from 5 to 3. If you have a different experience, that's fine too. Cheers!
I received my purchased Jet. I washed everthing and put it together. Mine iß all ready. My fresh beans are coming tomorrow. I have had oracle touch machines before.
@TomsCoffeeCorner first latte made. Beans are stronger than my normal light roast. I like the preheat of the cup Coffee is hotter, and hsve a more full flavor. I used full milk. I learmed onlime to tap the milk pitcher on the coumter, while you wipe dowm the wand. Swirl the milk and for a latte, pour from the side of the pitcher. That maked the milk combime without stirring. It is a win.
Enjoyed the video Tom, thanks. I am new to the coffee world and have been looking at different machines. Your videos have helped a lot so many thanks. I appreciate what you do. I am thinking about purchasing the Oracle jet but I will wait for your Review on the machine. Look forward to that. 👍 watching from England.
Really cool looking machine, especially dual jets! Hopefully it won’t be plagued by the issues the Oracle Touch has, and the terrible reviews and slow customer service. I wish they made a no grinder, dual jet, no touch screen version. Great videos as always!

@@o2xb I've learned in my many years of enjoying coffee that analog will always be more reliable than digital. When the machine inevitably breaks (by design) I'll be handy to press you a fine brew. Get off my lawn. Turn down your music.
@@AquarianNomadic lol, up to last week I was in the same boat as you, but the Ninja Cafe Lux is a gamechanger due to its convenience and user friendly nature before I make the jump to a proper espresso only machine! Which grinder do you use btw for the French press?
Hello greetings from the UK. I am looking at getting a new machine soon and liked your video on the Barista Touch impress. Once you have had a few brews from the new Jet can you do a compare and is the Jet worth the extra money? My only concern with the Touch Impress was the space for a large cup and the milk jug.
We finally got our test model. However, I'm surprised that you were able to do an unboxing here already. We were told that the product is embargoed until Tuesday, October 15, 2024. You probably got the green light directly from Sage.
Excellent video. Thank you. I've seen other videos show that the center of the puck is softer and can be indented with your thumb. I have found that to be true on my machine as well. I assume you will find it if you test this out. Do you think this is a problem? Will it encourage uneven extraction as more water will flow through the middle of the puck?
Hi from New Zealand. I have purchased a jet about 3 days ago. Liking it at the moment but still seeing what it can do. I have a question - I cant find the answer anywhere. Ive deleted one of the recipes by accident - do you know the way to get it back without doing a reset. Thanks in advance.
WOW! The battle is on! Ninja Luxe Café or Saege Oracle Jet? Exciting. Can you already say which way it's trending? Ninja is of course almost half as expensive and has really exciting features. The question is: Who makes better espresso using the same beans? (Watching from Germany)
*Update: You are correct! The Jet is not on Amazon it is the Touch. Still overpriced but you provided a good review. Thank you for overlooking my snarky comment.* Thank you for the review. Well, they're much different machines. The Evo costs 1/4 of the Jet. It doesn't have a grinder, either. But as for espresso, we'll have to see. I just turned the machine on today. Cheers!
unfortunately you missed my question. So here again: could you measure out, how many grams of coffee the Oracle Jet (auto)doses in the single and double basket? Taht is something NOBODY talks about. How many grams of coffee do I have if I go for a single basket shot? With my Delonghi I alway go for 13 grams singlebasket. Double 24. I would like to buy this machine, but for this price I would like to know the dose I get out of it per shot. and again: no one ever mentions that. Not even you if asked how the machine doses. Would be great to test it (like with the eureka Libra): how much coffe is in the baket, and how consistent (!) is the machine from shot to shot? You would be the first to test that (for any sage machine) as far as I know... THANK YOU!
Ah crap! I should have had the presence of mind to do that, as I normally would weigh it. I will log some entries and come back with some data. AFAIK it's between 18-22 grams, depending on how the spinner collar is set up.
@@TomsCoffeeCorner genau, just like the older models. A friend of mine has the Oracle Touch, it was annoying to set up the spinner to get less than 20g out. I wonder if Sage has changed that. I do not want to have to do double shots all the time. THANKS!
@@niklasolsson-wv9eu No, it doesn't weigh, it fills up based on volume - when the spinner notices pressure from the bottom, though the coffee grounds rising in the basket.
I don't know the older Oracle Touch, but I do know that this still doses 21-22 grams for me. I tried adjusting it to be less, but then it malfunctioned. So, I ordered a shallower IMS basket, and I am going to try that out.
