- Hi friends! In today's video, I will be reviewing the new Vanilla Skin perfume from Phlur. I will also be sharing my thoughts on the Fragrance Journal that @vaniamickelle created. I had a coworker like that lady with the asthma. I sprayed 1 spray of JC Gold Couture and she kept on and kept on about how someone has perfume on and it smells like incense. Does anyone else smell that? What is that? It made me so uncomfortable. She must've been part bloodhound to be able to smell 1 spray of perfume. Lol I think people are way too sensitive these days. How did they survive when white diamonds and obsession were popular?

You literally came to a mall, A HEAVILY-FRAGRANCED PLACE, and then complained that somebody near you was wearing fragrance. She wasted precious breath just telling you that 😂 we learned during Pandora’s box that people couldn’t care less about the pre-existing conditions of others (not that I agree with that); you’re absolutely correct. If you know you have certain sensitivities, it’s your responsibility to ensure you’re comfortable when you’re in public.

She was definitely being extra...& the little hints of descriptions you were providing, sounds like she should've had her oxygen tank wheeling behind her 😏😂🤣 I would've said: Where is yo inhaler, ma'am?! Sounds like you need a mask, with all that coughing you got going on.

Oh my goodness girl, I had went with my daughter to a dr appointment and as soon as we walked in the ladies office she goes” do you have perfume on”? So me thinking “ oh this Ariana Grande perfume is actually projecting “ I tell her Yes I do with a big proud of myself smile on my face!😄She instantly starts coughing and screaming for the nurse to get her inhaler 😒She refused to see us in anything but a conference room and she made me stay way in the back corner and she put a fan on her!!! It was such an ordeal that I’ll never forget! Lord have mercy 😅

@@loyalm2327 Exactly!!! If you’re a doctor and have “ severe allergies “ to perfume, why wouldn’t you put up notification or even tell patients when scheduling appointments to avoid this drama? She was literally yelling like I had a firearm in her office 🫤😩

Which ariana grande perfume was it?
I chased down Vanilla Skin until the saw it pop up again on Sephora. While I kept my eye out for it to be available, I purchased Snif; Vanilla vice. Once I got vanilla vice, omg! Love it. I finally got Vanilla Skin, and was super underwhelmed. It’s nice, but I expected more due to all the hype. I don’t know what I was expecting exactly but I prefer Vanilla Vice and Viva vanilla from BBW. I enjoyed your review 😊
That’s what I was going to say. If you know you have asthma you should wear a mask and don’t have a attitude about someone having on perfume… we don’t know you have asthma. You are not tripping… you are doing what you do. You are out and about.
Your story just makes me want to wear Dressed in White even more now if it was that strong 😂 I can rarely smell people’s perfumes in public so it sounds like she was being dramatic. Also I would rather someone smell good than like the sweaty summer heat if I’m having to stand next to them. If they are that sensitive to scents they need to remove themselves
My favorite BBW scent is Bonfire Bash so I am obsessed with Vanilla Skin!! I have 5 bottles of the mist and purchased the full size perfume as soon as it hit Sephora. I agree the mist is a bit prettier and is perfect for layering. The perfume is smokier and will be perfect for fall and winter time.

I’m hoping Vania will do at least one more journal restock because i keep missing the restocks lol. Some people are so entitled, if you have a health condition then you should be prepared. You can’t expect the whole world to cater to you .

I swear some people just be wanting attention. You’re in a public place and you expect people to know you have a damn allergy, lady be for real and then you wanna be rude about. I’m glad you stood your ground and didn’t leave… I just received the body mist last week and I really like it. I’ll be ordering the travel size perfume, I think both together will be even better.
That lady was projecting on to you. If wearing perfume makes you happy continue to do so. You was not being malicious about it. She came into your space being entitle and nasty. Even if some has asthma that woman has to be aware the world does not cater to her. Thank you for a great review. While you describe and share the journal I ordered one. I can’t wait to get it 😄
Girl I am totally in your side! Someone I occasionally have to work with will absolutely pitch a fit if you wear even the lightest perfume around them …. She has literally left yelling before lol😂
This is a love for me. I love everything about it. It’s amazing for layering. I layered it yesterday with Mon guerlan and I must’ve gotten three or four compliments. I’ve gone through four or five of the body spray and I ordered three of the perfumes my favorite to layer with.
I don’t have Asthma but I have really bad allergies. Anything can set me off to start coughing, sneezing, etc. However, I excuse myself. If not, my sneezing/ coughing will subside. Even with my allergies, I WEAR my fragrances! Even if I take myself out in the process. 😂

I ordered this last week!!! I get it tomorrow. It took 6 days to get to me. Idk why it's taking Soo long. All my previous orders come alot faster and why does it ship from different locations is weird to me. Anyway can't wait!! It was the first body spray I didn't question the price and wanted the biggest bottle at first sniff. I loved it sooo much. My favorite body spray ever. Besides discontinued exotic coconut. I was hoping they came out with a perfume and. BAMm 2 months later my wish was granted. So excited!
I’m surprised also that it hasn’t sold out I purchased through both Sephora and phlurs website around 3 am in the morning on release day thinking it would sell out within hrs and to my surprise it hasn’t I’m in shock 😂

The fragrance Vanilla skin is just OK to me. It was extremely light and wasn't worth the hype. Fragrance companies are aware that if Vanilla is in the name or marketing it's gonna gon viral even if subpar

I still want the fragrance mist. I checked Sephora a couple days ago and both sizes were still sold out. 🙄 Maybe I will just pick up a travel size perfume instead. No you ain’t trippin! Listen, if you are in a public place then don’t complain about your health issues. Take precautions before you leave your dam house! Especially if you that sensitive.

Imo vanilla skin the best vanilla there is! I agree it's a year round scent, but it may lean cooler months given the muskiness etc.

That fragrance journal is amazing! How sweet for it to be gifted to you! I’m sorry the other lady was rude. I understand if it’s a friend, family or coworker we can make accommodations but in public I can’t possibly know about everyone issues and they are responsible for planning ahead.

I was just looking at this mist on Sephora’s site. I love Bare Vanilla and Bonfire Bash is one of my favorites. I was just debating with myself if this would be too redundant. Unfortunately none of my stores have testers. Thanks for the review. 😊

I just bought the fragrance mist and I love it.
The mist smells like Bonfire Bash, as well as By the Fireplace. I have both and don’t plan to get the perfume, because I have a lot of similar scents.
To me this is very similar to bare vanilla from VS. You could almost layer the VS BV lotion with Vanilla skin in a pinch.
I think layering them would be great!
Personally, I don’t think it’s entirely the heat eating up the fragrance. Companies are just making short wear time products to keep us buying more. I used to smell all day off of any fragrance. Now…..everything last an hr or so with zero projection.
I’m hoping they release the whole line I’ll be the first one in line to purchase all of it 😅
The whole asthma complaining lady…. She made a comment on something that no one wanted to hear. If she was that dang sensitive she should have “protected” herself and not expect everyone in a public place to conform to her needs. We are allowed to enjoy ourselves, she just wanted to make a big deal and get some attention.

Lol this might be a hot take, but if you can’t handle people wearing fragrances in public, then maybe you should just stay home 😅😂. It’s always the people that smell bad themselves that complain. I understand people are sensitive to fragrance, but even if you are scent sensitive that doesn’t mean you get to tell random strangers out in public to not wear perfume. She definitely doesn’t sound like a pleasant person lol

Kinda weird how the edp of vanilla skin have a rating of 4.8 or 4.6 rating only 100 people , and the mist is only a 4.1 300 people ??
It’s just everybody’s personal opinion and preference. At this time I prefer the mist but that may change, you never know 🙂
Sounds like you encountered a “Karen” but I wouldn’t take it personally. My daughter and I are sensitive and we carry our masks. I prefer perfume to B.O. I try not to trigger my daughter with my perfumes so we’re light sprayers 😂

Which is also weird how you’re the opposite of vanilla skin saying it’s a close skin scent ..when lots of other people say it’s a powerhouse and strong as hell ..I don’t get it girl 😂 people have different noses I understand that but it’s just so bizarre.
Vanilla Skin IMO smells like VS Bare Vanilla.
