Totally agree with you Lefaua1 such graceful dancers they are = Totally agree with you Lefaua1 =) they are all graceful dancers & esp the lady on the stage lol
Every Samoan has a blood connection to a village chief. Anyone can also put on a 'tuiga' or traditional headress if it's just a performance like this one. Therefore, these ladies are just putting on a Samoan siva performance or entertainment, and they are proud dancing beautifully and gracefully. However, if it's an occasion where the whole village is involved, for example, a village dance in Samoa's independence celebration etc, then a village chief's daughter is the only one to put on a tuiga and will also dance on behalf of the village, or even during a ta'alolo where the villages is represented for any special occasion inside or outside the village. Just to clarify that as there were some people who criticized the tuiga of these dancers without any understanding. Manuia le faasoa!
Yes you are right. That's why they are not taupou but they are just 'acting' like taupou performing to the public, which is alright as it's just a performance. They are just putting on a performance for people to watch. If that was a real taupou, the whole village or people in charge will have to put on a real tuiga and everything else that is required for the attire of a real taupou.
This is a beautiful performance.....Of course, there would be many haters who posted there comments on your video. Don't mind what hater does.... they can watch and judge every moves you made. Then what else? Sits on their asses not doing a damn thing. I bet them haters can't even dance like you did in this video. You ladies are proud Samoans and loves your Culture. So keep it up! Don't let anything comes your way. All you do is keep wearing that Tuiga.....tele fua tala ale au loto leaga ailoga e iai ni latou "Tuiga"......ao se "Malu" foi.....hahaha
if there were anything wrong with what they are wearing or doing they have men there who wouldv said and definitly done something, so ppl need to just leave them alone!! dont comment if you dont like! it was an awesome performance :)
There are so many groups n ppl back home who does this number..there has been 32 taupous performing at once as a beautiful number besides this dance n what there wearing is not wrong IM JUST GLAD THERE STEPPING out the box n not being old fashion like some of yall on here. Who gives a fuck if there wrong for wearing the outfits like thatm shit they being different
Im sorry but you don;t have to be the chiefs daughter just to be able to wear that headpiece come to samoa we aknowledge all our young girls and womens to take part, maybe when it comes to the real ceremonies where it holds in the villages back home. As a Samoan i am very proud to see the girls from overseas doing this, you should be too. anyways manuia le aso.
@Samoanboyy510 FYI you spelled "makai" WRONG nigga! So if you tryna capp/roast/dogg on these beautiful taupou's, make sure you know YOUR samoan first! #ThankYou Manaia le faafiafiaga!
Please have some respect for your culture. Ease up on the language. Don't think our fore fathers were so disrespectful. You are an image after all of your ancestors. Fai lelei lou amio. BTW, the men were the first to wear the kuiga. A little different for a taualuga siva, but none the less, manaia tele.
It's beautiful to still see our Samoan into the culture and maintaining that pride of our culture and all. lovely taupou very beautiful girls.
