I think weekly PDFs are best. There is nothing wrong with monthly pdf, it just gets too hectic to cover. I used Affairs Cloud. I started with daily current affairs in March and gave 1 hour daily, by the time exam season began in July/August, I couldn't give time daily for current. So, I did monthly PDFs 15 days before mains, which was easy since, I only had to revise the months that I had already covered once with daily C.A. So, my score in IBPS Clerk mains (which happens early in the year) was high, then for IBPS PO & SBI PO mains when new months got added and I read news for the first time from monthly pdf, it proved very stressful to retain it from the first go, so, I finally decided to follow weekly pdf. It took me 3 days to cover 4 weeks (a month) of PDF (very thoroughly) and then on 4th day, I watched 4-5 monthly marathon videos on UA-cam. I focused only on 4 months of PDF but very thoroughly and revised from as many UA-cam videos as my mind could handle.
I have used all the mock tests, smartkeeda testbook, practice mock, adda, guidely and oliveboard from time to time. But I consider Oliveboard to be the best, along with that you can pair testbook if you are just starting (2 subscriptions are enough). All these websities hosts free weekly live tests which one should also attempt.
Mock is mandatory, but Mains ka question ka level/variety thoda alag h, usko solve krne ka technique chahiye aapko, you can either learn it by giving lots of mains mock/ watching free youtube channels Art of Reasoning Kaushik mohanty Learning capsule Puneet Sir Veteran or some course.
