Just because the drum part is not the most technically challenging doesn't mean that there still isn't musicianship on display. For example, I appreciate how Alex Van Halen used a completely different pattern during both the pre-choruses and guitar solo then went back to a more straightforward pattern for the keyboard solo. In my humble opinion, Van Halen did a solid job of playing musically. Great cover! Your kit sounds great!
I think the drum part on the 8 bar guitar solo is pretty tricky. It's in 4/4 but Alex gives the illusion they're in an odd time signature so it feels like the cymbal bells are offbeat but they are actually on the beat. Plus it varies every time.
i guess you did it right. lol im not big on covers, because normally everyone does a little different than the original. I do really like how your set up is. I can see whats going on. whether it was perfect like alex, or you improvised here & there, you still ROCKED IT !!!!!! keep em coming ! I would really like to see john cougar crumblin down, & pink houses.
Sorry and I am not the worlds greatest drummer by any means, but this song is pretty easy to drum to isin't it? Dunno why you wouldn't choose a more challenging tune, just sayin.
NONE OF THESE DRUMMERS COVERING Alex Van Halens Jump drumming is on point At All. Sure sounds good timings ok, But theres None of the Exaggerated drumming technique and Flair Alex did and exuded. All these drum covers are boring. Watch Alex Closely Here. Also Note Alex Uses Roto Toms not Standard Center toms. Different notes ua-cam.com/video/SwYN7mTi6HM/v-deo.htmlsi=nU8_N8b9uW67i0Ay
I love the tablature, the multiple camera setup, everything! Just wow! If I could make a request, some Phil Collins would be awesome!
Thank you
