if you mean 40 USD, unfortunately it's not uncommon to pay $80+ for nail extensions here in the US (at least in california) and that's for lower-end salons.
Its about the same in Ohio too. I do my own now, but for yrs I got them done at chop shops (didn't know any better back then) and thought everything they were doing was supposed to be that way. Then we were quarantined and I started watching UA-cam nail techs and I found out that everything they were doing was wrong!! Glad my nails were never permanently damaged after yrs of torture! Anyway, sorry for my rant. 😅 Now I tell people to be careful who they trust doing their nails.❤
I am assuming she’s not in the state and the price was local price converted to USD. A lot of currencies have less value when converted to USD.
There must be some kind of currency conversion error, because that's exactly what a $40 manicure looks like. 😂 if you want a good set of extensions, even with no nail art, you're looking at $50 at the *very* cheapest.

I’m a bit confused. 40 dollars is extremely cheap. And if someone’s waiting 4 weeks for a fill, then the nails are going to be in poor shape. The nails were prolly ok when they were originally done.

I know you must be super busy keeping up with all that you do! So hopefully one of these days you will notice one of my many comments asking where you get your cone shaped bits that you use almost every video for removal and other service aspects 🤣🤣
As soon as I find out, I’m immediately ordering one or two of every available grit lol I just love that shape and the arrangement of the teeth on your bits are so different from any other cone-shaped bit I’ve either purchased or searched for/come across online…I’m obsessed with them already and I’ve never even used one 😂
Meanwhile, I’ll continue asking in the comments of your other videos, hoping that one day the stars will align and you’ll just happen see one of them 😆🥰
