In today's video, I am making our dinner and showing all the things. What I'm making. How I make it. And I give a few tips here and there. The main dish is meatloaf. Does your family do anything special when it comes to making meatloaf? My mom always used oatmeal instead of bread crumbs. My neighbor always put a boiled egg in the middle of her meatloaf. I always wondered why. If you know the rationale behind the boiled egg in the middle of the meatloaf, tell us in the comments. Oh...this is meant to be a cozy vibe kind of video. Let me know if you like and what resonated with you most.
I just follow Yoga with Adrienne. I do one of her practices four or five times a week. Right now, because of my back and hip, I am doing her gentle yoga. She always does a 30 day yoga journey in January so be on the look out for it.
Margie, thank you. That's exactly what I wanted. A relaxing video where you could make your dinner along with me if you liked or just relax and enjoy. What resonated with you most?
Thank you. I wanted this one to be a cozy kind of vibe. Did you feel that? And if you like that apron, we've got one in the shop for you. www.aprondiva.com.
Lisa! I went out to feed him earlier today and he is limping. There is something wrong with his foot and there was blood on it. Hy husband thought maybe the kitten had been in a fight. If he's still limping in the morning I'm calling the vet. I am so worried about the little kitty.
Yolanda, I appreciate that you visit me here often. What on my channel resonates with you most? And the little kitty has a sore leg. I'm calling the vet tomorrow!
Our oven went out as I was baking the turkey on thanksgiving. We’ve got a roaster, toaster oven, and crockpots so it all worked out. I think the only appliances I can’t manage without would be the fridge and/or freezer. 🙂
Linda, I hope you felt as if you were right here in the kitchen with me. I wanted to project a relaxing kind of vibe. Did I accomplish that goal? What resonated with you most?
Love the idea of freezing a meatloaf for later. I have a small household, so that would be perfect! Also, great idea with the foil! I so enjoy your videos, and your new kitty is precious!
Yes...make two meatloaves. Keep one out for the week. Have leftovers for sandwiches for lunch or another meal and put the other in the freezer for next week. Oh...today, the kitty came home limping. There is something wrong with his right leg. I'm calling the vet!
Nancy, thank you. I so wanted this to be a relaxing video. One where you could work along with me or just watch. And I worked hard at making sure the music wasn't too loud. I'm glad you found it to be relaxing. I'll do more of this.
I do know how blessed I am that Hubby helps. I am trying to encourage all my homemakers to work together on the after-dinner cleanup. It's a nice time in the kitchen and you can chat!
My mom would also put a boiled egg into the middle of the meatloaf. I never thought that anyone else ever did that. 😊 Enjoyed the video. It's been awhile since I have made meatloaf.
I am a meatloaf junkie, and my son is too. We don't have anything special that we do each time, because I don't follow a recipe. Each time I make it, it's different depending on what I have in the house. Some days, I throw in taco seasonings and we have it with salsa and cheddar. Sometimes, I throw in Italian herbs and garlic and serve it with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. I recently started using oatmeal since I was diagnosed with Celiac's. Then just the other day I learned that during the great depression, it was made with oatmeal that was soaked in leftover black coffee. I'm going to try that soon.
I’m going to try your oatmeal with black coffee idea. I’ll let you know how it turns out. I saw several depression era recipes where black coffee was used to flavor foods.
Wait. What! I haven't seen you in a minute. It's good to have you stop by. I am getting so attached to that kitty. He came home today with a limp. Something happened to his leg. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow. Oh...and let me know how the recipe turns out.
Rosemary, thank you so much for stopping by. What resonated with you most? I was hoping for a calm, relaxing vibe. Did I accomplish that goal? What resonated with you most?
Funny, I have meatloaf and potatoes planned for our meal tomorrow. I've never tried lining the pan with foil before, so I'll give that a try. Tonight, I made fried rice with leftover ham. That's another budget meal.
Makes sense to me. I can see meatloaf once a week. It's a good weeknight meal, especially if you make it on Sunday planning leftovers for later in the week. Oh...I heard you about the kitchen Christmas decor. Doing exactly that.

Please share your morning yoga routine. I have one also and would love to be inspired by you!!!
Meatloaf muffins are a good idea. It can certainly lead to portioning out the meatloaf .

Our favorite sides for meatloaf are au gratin or scalloped potatoes and baked beans.
I love au grauton potatoes and baked beans. That makes perfect sense to me.
My family always used Worchester sauce in the meatloaf and a tomato sauce (catsup or marinara).
Worcestershire sauce! I can see that. How much do you put in and do you replace something I used?

Mrs Denise do you have a new camera and lighting? The last two videos have a dark sepia glow.
I noticed that, too, but guessed it's because sunset comes so early now.
Something is going on with my camera. I'll work on it. Thank you for letting me know.
Sometimes we would do a seasoned cream cheese filling in the meatloaf
