- Aaaand here we go again.
I've had this made since like November but I only finished it now.
I thought the song was really fitting for Mettaton, from leaving Waterfall to becoming the a star in the Underground, and Napstablook, who stays behind due to his own fears and beliefs.
I posted it yesterday on tumblr (as mainly still images) so I made a video for people who don't want to follow along with the lyrics and prefer for them to move on their own!

How is this so perfect for the two of them? I mean, wow. I've seen others try to use this song for other pairs of characters, but it's like this was written for the two of them, and the illustrations are beautiful and perfect.

I have seen with Sans and Papyrus (Which was soul crushing), but I love this because it is a part of the game that you have to go out of your way to get to. Otherwise you would have no idea about this connection, and I find it beautiful.

+Jazzy Playz Its the third thing that comes up when you look up "Two birds on a wire Undertale", I believe its by Determined Spaghetti.
I imagined MTT dying in the genocide route and Blooky coming over quickly to help him but MTT is already starting to lose consciousness when Blooky get's there they sing the chorus of this song to each other and Mettaton right after he sings "But he's just a liar...." his glowing heart fades from a dim glow to nothing, his eyes close and he takes one last sigh before closing his eyes.

To answer your question: (Sorry if this is long)
I mainly changed ''he'' to ''they'' since the few times Napstablook is talked about or referred to in game, Blooky is referred to as a ''they''. It can be found in one of Napstablook's flavor texts or when Mettaton mentions Napsta in the MTT EX battle, among other instances.
I debated as to whether or not to keep the ''he'' that is found in the original song, but decided using ''they'' would sorta personalize the song to one of the characters being talked about. I guess it can be kinda off-putting, but personally I prefer to modify the lyrics here and there to maintain a certain connection to the characters, if that makes sense.
All in all, I hope I didn't ramble too much and my pronoun changes didn't ruin the video for you. Thanks for your comment!
