My mother kicked me out when I was 15.
Father has been in prison since I was 3.
Had to do it myself. No family no friends nobody at all.
Had to drop out of school to make enough money to get by.
Went to prison for 11 months 2 months after I turned 18.
Now here I am, got my own place. Beautiful girlfriend. Annoying dog (wich i secretly really do care about) Good job with an above avarage wage. My girl is the only person on this globe (fuck you flat earthers) who I really love. Since she moved in I learned what home really meant.
For the people fighting the struggle,
Fuck you if you give up.
If I can do it with my dumb ass you definitely can do it as well.
Just go with the flow. Karma just requires some sacrifice before she rewards you. Fucking love to anybody out there who's doing the right thing. Life is a struggle, just face it. Ups and downs. Just appreciate the ups. And don't let the downs slow you down.

I'm from England, am diagnosed with Asperger's, and PTSD.
I was diagnosed at aged 15, Asperger's has obviously always been there, I just didn't know it.
I developed PTSD about when I was 12 years old.
My mother had been raising me and my three other (older) siblings since I was about 6 years old.
I developed PTSD from being bullied at school, no friends, no support from the school, and my family had no idea how bad it really was.
I was almost completely alone, only two others that I could call friends, and they also got bullied, just like I did.
Secondary School (high school, essentially) was beyond tough. New hormones, trying and failing to make new friends, suppressing my emotions, not knowing what is wrong with me. It was hell. It was a consistent theme, I was alone. No friends, no support. Only me and my thoughts. If you need to know one thing about people with PTSD, the longer we dwell on a subject, the worse it becomes in our heads. It took years to finally start coming out of my shell, and it was only prompted by the kindness of those around me.
Multiple individuals had noticed that I outwardly showed almost no emotion, and was silent most of the time, always too serious. I never smiled, never joked, not even a little.
They saw through the wall that I had put up for just a brief moment, and saw that I was in pain. They made it their mission to break down my shell, and make me smile.
This set me down the journey of recovery, and it is still happening now, 4 years later. I'm much better than I was, but still not 100%. Therapy didn't help, because the reason for the trauma was essentially a lack of closure. I had questions only I could answer, and to keep myself grounded, to stop my thoughts and reasoning drifting too far, I reached out in my own little way. It was occasional, and brief. The topics I discussed with people weren't at all related to the struggles I faced, well... on the surface perhaps. I related it in a way so that I wouldn't reveal my true reasoning's behind the discussion. Eventually I became more direct, and letting go of years of pent emotions hurt, a lot. Beyond the realm of just emotional distress, and into the realm what feels like physical pain.
I was lucky, in a sense. I believe that my will is what got me through some of the hardest times, but I was lucky to find my passion. Turns out, I'm really into science. After school I went to college to study applied science with an emphasis on forensic science. The close-nit science group class I had at college allowed me to further let go of my emotions, relaxing was now possible, whereas before, I was too anxious to ever fully relax. My emotions started slipping out because I let my guard down, and I was progressively failing to put it back up again. To a point now where it's almost impossible to hide my emotions.
Despite my hardships, I've now started to really come to terms with what happened. My questions started becoming answered. In the end, the real tipping point for me was, I found myself getting more upset over the diagnosis of "PTSD" than the events that caused it in the first place. You do start to get better once you let your emotions out. As much as you want to force yourself to get better, you can't, and that mentality will make your recovery take much longer. You must stop trying to force recovery, and let it happen naturally, over many years, if that's what it takes. Eventually you'll realise how far you've come, which will give you the tools your need to defeat your demons. Take it from me, a person who's been through this all. Someone who went from a kid being bullied on the playground, to a person that's going to university soon with great aspirations, and a will determined to meet my goals. I realise that it will take years, but I'm aiming to eventually do a doctorate degree, and I won't let myself or anything else in my way stop me from achieving my goals, opposition be damned.

Never forget that, all of the people who bullied you are probably bigger dipshits than they were before. You are the one who learned to be self reliant and get this far. Ain't nobody to thank for that but you. That is exactly why you will get your doctorate and that's exactly why you are going to get further in life than anyone you know. Take a look at Elon Musk, people always thought he was just some weird guy. But look at him now. And he had alot of help to get to where he is now. You didnt and look at how far you came. I know you will succeed in life and so do you. But never let your guard down, people will "be there for you" when you make money and progress in life, never forget who was the only one who supported you through all of these years. That was and is all you. If people ever ask for hand me outs or shit, drop em. Just let them go. I don't know alot about asperger but my girl made me watch Atypical on Netflix. I think you will enjoy it as well, gave me some of insight on the matter. But yeah, I don't know you at all and I'm still really fucking proud of you. I've learned a bit about how hard it can be for people who are forced to deal with it everyday and you seem to be handling it like a fucking champ. Keep on the good work bro, just try to make sure you enjoy the little things in life as well.
