The set production, cinematography, and visual effects were by far some of the best Star Wars we’ve ever gotten. The problem that makes it a bore to watch despite all this for me is the script being so broken. Minor tweaks were all that was missing to make it a compelling narrative, but somehow it ended up as a slow motion train wreck in screenwriting terms. In conclusion, it’s the BEST fucking fan film I have EVER SEEN. Also, the real life guy that played Tarkin was 100% perfect for the role. It was SO distracting with his PS4 cutscene graphics character in every scene he was in that I can never pay attention to the dialogue and get completely pulled out of the movie. Just another example of minor and easy to implement tweaks that could have saved it to be the undisputed best thing Disney Lucasfilm made so far.

Re: Andor I think that macguffin device will come back to be important. Didn't see it get destroyed and I assume someone is gonna go back to that warehouse to retrieve bodies and either clean up or do detective work.
If you don't like gore, you likely won't like Hellraiser. But I'd strongly recommend the first two movies at least. I actually get entertainment value from 3 and 4, but you should definitely stop there. But give the Clive Barker ones a go at least.

This far in the series it's pretty well established that everyone has a blaster and nobody bats an eye if you just gun someone down in the street. Yes, this is a corporate owned town and yes it's two murdered guards and not just two jerks in a dusty road in the middle of some outer rim hellhole but it's still a tonal shift that I don't think 100% works.

Man Rogue One doesn’t get nearly enough love, it’s the only unambiguously solid modern Star Wars film imo.
Its not that great from a film POV because the characters have the plot happen to them instead of having their choices drive the plot
