It’s hard work, we are volunteers, everything is expensive and heavy, you have difficulty finding parts sometimes and sometimes needs a specialist company for example rewinding the generator. Thank you for watching. It’s much appreciated.
I’m glad to see that this locomotive is being given new parts little by little!! Good luck with fitting the new generator and I hope that, on my first visit as a retired worker at the Epping Ongar Railway, I will be able to ride behind her.
We hope that the loco will be running for the diesel gala at the end of September. After the gala we will then concentrate more on the cosmetics a coat of paint etc. Thanks for watching and maybe see you down at the gala September. 👍
Thank you! Hopefully and fingers crossed everything will go well. There is a few niggles with the generator just being refitted. Then it’s the cosmetics to finish off. 👍
i rode behind Great Gable back in the early 80's, i think Peter Waterman was on it. that Anglia Railways coach needs a re paint to keep it looking smart,
Great train Great Gable 👍 yes the Anglia coach does need a bit of tlc. It’s going to be part of the cafe, but I hear that there is some issue with it? Thanks for watching 👀 👍
I'm always impressed with the skill set of the guys who keep these things running

I’m impressed by the progress you’ve made with this locomotive. I certainly hope that it turns into a great runner sooner rather than later.
