- BlazBlue Entropy Effect is a roguelike in the vein of Dead Cells, with a bit of Hades to boot. Here's 18 minutes of gameplay!
BlazBlue: Entropy Effect brings familiar characters (Ragna, Kokonoe, Hibiki, Hakumen, and others) from the Blazblue Calamity Trigger, Continuum Shift, and Chrono Phantasma universe to a new side-scrolling gameplay. Collect new boons and tactics when finishing screens to power up your character, take on bosses, and fight increasingly dangerous enemies.

I've been playing the early access version for the past few days, I've never been addicted to a game this much since Dead Cells.
Definitely would recommend
Does the combat get harder? Just from the video it looks super easy. Like the enemies aren't even really attacking the protag.

This game reeks of being a totally different IP before the devs got ahold of the BB license. The story doesnt even connect to the series which makes this whole thing a smack in the face to BB fans.

@@JustSomeGuy63 tbf the actual bb series barely connects to itself. It wouldn't be hard to canonically connect this with a single line of dialogue, that how convoluted that story became by the end. But bb isnt likely to get any new entries for a while if ever. team blue is largely disbanded and bbcf didnt hit the sales targets they wanted. Even with the scaled back budget it had and the lack of a dub it just didnt hit. Now that strive and dbfz are so big (and granblue is getting another chance at life) bb is probably only going to be kept on life support by side games like this
It is a pity that video doesn't show enough how smooth game is and the character'spotential link each other to perform many combo in it

They need to bring Patrick Seitz as the English dub voice of Ragna the Bloodedge or it's not BlazBlue. Same for Jin, Noel, Taokaka actors and the rest of the cast!

They need to find a replacement for Tao if they do English dub unfortunately she passed away years ago
So far the best Metroidvania/Platformer as of now in terms of combat and graphics. Also one of the best in terms of build diversity and character roster.

It confused me that the characters speaks Japanese but the narrator voice speaks Chinese

The looks are flashy but there isn't much substance underneath. It's basically Dead Cells: Cyberpunk Edition. At least Dead Cells had the decency to explain its mechanics properly and not bomard you with obnoxiously convoluted language and made up (based on real science or whatnot) terminology for the sake of the style. It reeks of bad taste.

This looks like one of those fanmade flash games from newgrounds, just spruced up. Hits have no impact, backgrounds are generic futuristic scenery that aren't reminiscent of the BB world, and even the music is lackluster. this screams ftp mobile game.
