Owen is a friend of mine, a true craftsman and humble gentleman. Clive is very lucky.
I have always been interested with medieval things.
Leprial what about medieval “stuff” ?
Same!
You dont want to mess with this guy.
I couldn’t be the only one who was taken aback by the blacksmith’s voice 😂
Cool
excellent
Fascinating!!
Swords were in fact bendy and not at all stiff as suggested in this clip, their flexibility is what stopped them from shattering in the midst of combat.
"Holding the hilt of the sword he bent back the tip like a twig and then let it slowly return to its original shape." from The Life of Charlemagne, by Einhard, written sometime between 817-833 AD
They barely showed any of the steps
Not enough time, and it's not an instructional. Look up books like "The Pattern-Welded Blade," by Jim Hrisoulas.
What need full video

Tondo Widodo 🗿
"A London blacksmith" give the man some bloody credit you relics from a more selfish time.
Enough people actually buy this to make a living?
You'd be ASTOUNDED at the flourishing subculture for handmade knives and swords that exists around the world. There are dozens of people, at least, who've made a living at this, and whole books devoted to pattern-welded steel by modern masters. There are magazines devoted to the craft, like "Blade," annual books devoted to covering the latest developments, and at least two guilds for bladesmiths that I know of.

Ok wow that’s actually way more interesting than I thought it would be
Those are not medieval...
The interviewer has zero knowledge or interest in the craft, so sad
Not much of an overview.
