Ur right I should’ve been more clear. When i said I called myself bad, it was more like Im bad RIGHT NOW, but i know i can improve and get better. Some people won’t add on the second part for themselves and the negative self talk can break ur confidence. Thanks for pointing it out
It is always "think how to win a game", but not what vector do you need to take to start thinking right. Recently I resumed playing Valorant, I cleaned my aim from rust and began playing with my brother, who climbed to a plat, when half a year before we were bronze-silver players. Only to realise, I don't understand the game. And the reason for that conclusion was from that one game when I topfragged. And when I thought "why did I topfrag THIS game, but not others" I realised it was because enemies weren't preparing for the fights, relying on their pure aim, just like low elo players I am so used to! And because I put many and many hours in running around with sheriff at deathmatch (deathmatches are a good way to enjoy the game when you are busy), my aim was of course a lot better than theirs. So yeah, you need to UNDERSTAND this game, and that won't come from dm. You need to play competitive to just learn about how people behave. At the end of the day, if you are killed from behind with one headshot, did it matter that you are a god aimer?
also keep in mind being self conscious means approaching with the mindset to improve, it doesn't mean dragging yourself down and being extra hard on yourself that just leads to you being your own enemy and filling your head with more self doubt degrading confidence and ultimately would also make you play worse, be proud of the little improvements and reflect on mistakes
Don't forget your setup matters too guys! I am diamond but no matter how hard I try I can't climb from here because I play with 60 fps and 80 ping. So make sure to get a good pc before trying to improve that'll save you alot of sanity and make it more fun.
There are radiants who play 60hz, it definitely helps to have a better setup and depending on how bad it is it can fully limit you, but just being on 60hz and 80 ping doesn’t mean u can’t be good

I have good gamesense but it's no use cuz I don't get any time to react. Why don't you play on 60hz and reach immo if it's so easy then? Show me a radiant on 60hz if u can
@ I hit asc before I switched to 144 hz and was doing fine in immortal lobbies, and second look up “60hz radiant” and you will find dozens of people who are on shitty setups that have hit radiant. Quit pulling a pity party for yourself and learn how to improve bro.
Excuses are a waste of time not because you're wrong about your teammates but because people that rank up are the ones that try to be better in any scenario. On low health, with worse gun, against 5 and with no one by the side. This is the mindset that got me through my personal journey
Playing on lobbies that are way higher than my rank is so fun! I am hardstuck bronze for 2 years and playing rank there isn't fun anymore. One time, I played with my ascendant friend and I did way way better and it was actually fun.
I have a confidence problem in gunfights and it hurts my aim and I don’t swing with confidence at all idk how to fix this. I play way better in the clutch when I’m the last alive than in a random 1v1 when my teammates are alive also. I feel like util, playing out situations, and playing in the clutch is my strong suit but my aim and confidence in my aim is my weakness
actually, you want to occupy your conscious brain to let your subconscious brain aim for you while you decision make and focus on things such as crosshair placement. If you want me to go more in depth about this you can reply
The rank u deserved is the one u got, why im dropping always 30 bombs and low deaths on silver (i got drop down from plat to silver bc my team, i worst 16 match in a row while me being team mvp) guys the best thing u can do is just queu with a friend no matter ur experience it just will be it easy
