When they replayed that on the Jumbotron, felt like the stadium booed for the next five minutes straight. We booed more than we did against the Ducks in the playoffs! During the next stoppage in play they showed a close-up of the Ducks players on the Jumbotron as we kept booing and they looked a little nervous. It was awesome. Bonus: a guy sitting near me was wearing a vintage cartoon duck logo Selanne jersey. I miss Teemu.
If I wasn't already subscribed to you, the Aladdin references would've done me in. As it is, all I can do is like the video. And re: the jumbotron? If the Rogers' Centre screen was able to fill the crowd in on what was going on after that 7th inning bloop (what rule they were checking, etc), the Jays/Texas Game 5 bullshit might not have gotten so out of hand.

I was at the Habs and Stars game in December and yes the stars are known for their awesome jumbotron operator but on your point about the officials.. the ref had made a bad call that night and the jumbotron operator responds with what looked like a big robot from a movie I'm not sure of stomping on the ref crushing his hole body. And of course with showing all the hilarious things that night that he is known for, I gotta say having those guys work for your arena really makes the experience unique and the ticket worth the price because the stars jumbotron really isn't that nice compared to new ones today but the operator is fucking awesome.

I work many of the hockey games at the University of North Dakota (a pretty big hockey school) and when a goal is under review or something like that, the jumbotron NEVER shows the replay until after the refs make a final call.
The NHL is investigating the trade and will decide if he gets to play so he can at least get a chance at winning that 1 million dollar pot for the winning team. Fingers crossed he gets in, his kids were super excited for him and at this point I want them to be happy for their dad's once in a lifetime chance :(
The whole thing with the bandwagon fans is assuming that everyone that became a fan after 2010 is a bandwagon fan, it's incredibly unfair to them. I didn't like them until 2013. I didn't even like hockey until 2011 and I decided to like the Hawks right before the lockout ended. I don't see how assuming everyone after 2010 is a bandwagon fan is even an okay thing to do.

In my opinion, what ultimately caused your demise were the amount of penalties you guys took. Also I don't know if that game was an accurate representation of how you guys play but you guys are sloppy with the puck in your own end. There were numerous occasions were you guys fumbled and coughed it up behind or in front of the net. Hopefully your future will be led by Marner and Nylander and all of the managerial changes will facilitate your transition to a winning team.

The final score was 4-1 and they were on a back-to-back to boot. The Leafs got beat fairly badly. Every game starts off tied but if being only down one goal for 30 of 60 minutes is your idea of "competing" then sure, they competed.

Let's say that MLSE decided that Leafs home games could only be shown on a pay per view channel that you had to pay $30/month for, the radio broadcasts would only give you the live feed of the 2nd period and beyond, and every for every Leafs-Habs at the ACC, they'd give Montreal fans a chance to buy the majority of seats before Toronto fans could ever get their hands on those tickets. That along with an even worse team on ice than what the Leafs have right now is what the Hawks were before 2007. You tell me, if the Leafs ever did that, would you expect a full house every night at the ACC? I sure as hell know I wouldn't. Chicago fans will support a team when they suck. The Cubs haven't won a World Series in over a century, yet Wrigley is full every damn day. Us Hawks fans weren't boycotting games because they sucked (though that did add more fuel to the fire). We were boycotting games because Bill Wirtz was the worst owner in NHL history and was a total dick to fans.
