Why you should NOT buy an Siemens heatpump dryer

  • As you can tell this is an absolute piece of shit. Getting very hot with gentle (73°), it did shrink my grandmas shirt. It froze the timer at 1 minute (I turned it off, otherwise it would've dried the whole night and probably would set the house on fire). Wasn't able to dry this small load on the Mix program, so had to do it on the time dry which was an disaster as you could see it in the video. This dryer costed us 850€ in total, and every cent of it was wasted money. So in conclusion: Do never buy an dryer from BSH, mine is absolute garbage and an fire hazard. Takes ages to dry, shrinks clothes, etc. everything about this thing is shit...

"Just a normal load on a 50min dry"
That is not a normal load, that's like 2 t-shirts total. There's a special program for half load (only 4kg instead of 8kg) so that it will not kick in too hot. If you want it as hot as possible, use the 50min program as you did, to "speed things up".
So, basically, you chose for an extreme small load combined with the hottest program.

The normal temperature for heat pump dryers is around 50 to 60 degrees maximum. If the sensor notices that the laundry is not dry enough, it automatically extends the operation of the dryer. But I'm confused about 70 degrees, I see that first time on dryer with heatpump

It’s on an timer program, so it should not lengthen in the first place. The laundry was bone dry at this point. Overall it’s just an disappointment

    indeed. New generation
machines don't have that problem but first generation example IQ800 without wifi, need to be teared down until you reach the condensor for a manual cleaning. After that my machine runned like new.

I sold my Bosch condenser dryer as it was horrible. Dried way too hot, leaked, shrunk clothes.... The Beko heatpump I had for a few weeks dried at around 40c or less! And it was even faster than the Miele heatpump.

That’s nice to hear. I’ll never buy an BSH dryer again, I’ll just stick with my Miele condenser as it’s way better than this junk

Self-cleaning works much better if you leave (or pour) enough water in the recipient... We were always emptying the water and it got so bad after a few years.
