sorry that they are singling teen out for this law in my opinion it’s useless and a way to make more state money it’s not about drinking other wise it will be a free continuing education for all drivers… I stand for changing this requirements because you already have to pass and pay for a writing test go figure 👎🏼
my advice is just do it online, you can pretty much just guess all the answers, for supervised hours your parents can just sign off on this. its cheap too, this is how i did it when i was younger, unfortunately because i had dropped out of high school i wasnt able to get my license until i was 18 anyways despite having a job and responsibilities so stay in school yall haha. not a dumb law, but it shouldnt only be for teens too, i see adults messing up and causing crashes in atlanta more than the kids here
I think it is important to have a driver's ed. course. I got my probationary license four months ago. I enjoy driving. I reside in New Jersey. I have had at least twenty hours of driving instruction. Forty or fifty hours of driving instruction is ideal. I may buy another driving lessons package so I can say I drive well enough to take it from here.
Love how the lady said, "this is getting ahead of the game..". I am 60 years old and took driver's Ed when I was 16. In fact here it is required for all ages, no matter. I see Georgia is in the dark ages, and one should be extra cautious when driving in that state.
I been driving since I was 15 an this just now changed to 17 year olds 🤦🏻♂️ ridiculous
3 days before I could get my license when this law was pushed out, I was furious.

It will help the young drivers with certain insurance discounts.

Back people shouldn’t be allowed to drive without supervision from a cop for a year at the age of 18.

The south is way behind in this. I'm 53 and this was a mandate for me in IL. You'd think it would be a no brainer but here in the south, think again.
