This is the first time I actually think the makeup artist has actual potential to be really good. He would just need to learn hygiene and how to properly do things in order to be gentle and make the moment something relaxing for the client.
There's two other MUAs I really liked in her past videos. One was a dude who was the best rated but also most affordable. He basically gave her the most minimal look but was so good at his job and the other was a transgender woman who has bad reviews but Judy speculated that it was probably because of the trans thing. She even worked a little on Judy's hair... I really liked her work overall and I'm sure with the right tools and makeup, she'd be a sure 8/10
It’s just sad that these people are never really any better than “they have potential” lmfao But yeah, definitely one of the best she’s gotten and I really dig the colors on her tbh.
I actually really like this look! The skin looks a little cakey, but i like the eyes, he blended the colors very well, the foundation match the skin color, he is not bad at all. I think he has potential
Yes the foundation was going okay until he put that harsh bronzer on! If it looks bad in the salon you know it will be worse outside. I'm fairer than Judy and people always want to try to bronze us but our skin just doesn't really suit it. A cute blush looks so much fresher and younger.
As a pro MUA his blending especially the black is chef’s kiss. He was going for a sunset Smokey cut crease 🌆 it didn’t look bad… in the beginning .. way better than a lot of the looks we see here 😅😅
Oh man. Maybe I'm just boring with my makeup applications because that looked like a mess to me 😂 I was impressed with the pigment of that black. If it's a powder that is. I couldn't quite tell if it was or if it was a gel in a pot type of product...
Glad that Judy still likes some of the makeup from these places. She’s not putting herself above them and I appreciate that. I feel like a lot of these “lowest reviewed” series are classist and I’ve never gotten that vibe from Judy. She’s just here to dog on what the makeup actually looks like and hygiene. We Stan a thoughtful queen.
The fact that finally for once someone used a makeup wipe to clean up the fall out had me cheering. Definitely passable for a drag look. He does have some skill but man your poor face just beating you up 😂 😭

The eyes look 🔥. If he did this same color combo but lighter that would look hot. But his skills as far as rest of face sucks. Foundation, contour,etc is way too much is why her face looks wrinkly and she looks older

This is one of the best looks I've seen though😮 Guy needs some training in how to handle human beings, but he's definitely higher potential than everyone else at these badly rated salons. It really looks good for like a Hunger Games costume theme or just for going out to a club event.
Il agree with practice he can learn , yes hes better than some worst makeup artists but that doesnt mean hes good or the best . Il have to disagree with going out to the club or any event tho with this look , the end result was unflattering , unblended and cakey its hot mess 😭
I love the colors and the blending. He was very precise with the application of the eyeliner. I was having anxiety watching the brush touching your eyeballs though, that looked painful. The foundation was a “close” match, especially in comparison to other makeup artists in previous videos you’ve posted. Overall, not too bad and you wear the warm colors well. ❤
Honestly, overall this is not bad at all. The eye makeup is beautiful. There’s a time and place for it. I felt the blush was heavy, but I have gotten my makeup done in certain parts of the world where “cakey” has to happen because the weather is too hot and the makeup will melt off otherwise.

I have CRPS too (or as I usually call it, the CRaPS) left hand, spread starting in right. I love Judy (and a few others) and I’m very grateful for the distraction. It doesn’t take the pain away, but it does help me focus on something else. Stay strong, Warrior
Even though he was a bit rough, you can tell he cares for his make up look when he went back underneath and fixed the width of the black. There was easier ways to do it but it was good and he cares for his work. And isn't rude as all hell

Judy is young and pretty. This guy used so much product he added at least 10 years to her age. That's hard to do... but caking it on like that? Even if the product is good, it's gonna do that. And so rough! So much eye trauma! I flinch watching her videos, yet I cannot look away. Paying attention is the least I owe her for her going through stuff like this for our entertainment/education 😲

I’m always amazed at how so many of these mua’s always work against the natural youthful beauty of Judy and end up with something that would only suit an older lady in the carnival kinda vibe. You can have dramatic looks that don’t age the client 20yrs but somehow these artists never manage to pull it off.

I agree with op, the problem really wasn't the intensity of the eye (he did a decent "sunset" eye), but everything else (sanitary issues, how rough he wad, the amount of powder+concealer+foundation, and the clashing lip shade)
My mothers is from Ecuador South America and I’ve got to say , my mother absolutely applies her makeup this harshly to her face every morning. I’m absolutely convinced everyone here is very heavy handed . And she (my mother)wonders why she got wrinkles prematurely. Lol but on a positive note ,the makeup wasn’t bad except for the lipstick it’s too dark and neon colored.
I'm not from South America, but information from my (adult) kid and then finding Judy's and Robert Welsh's videos (because I became curious) really helped me update my makeup techniques and not be so heavy-handed. If you were to watch some good vids with your mother, saying something like "oh I found this really interesting - what do you think of this video?" would she take it the right way or would she think you were shading her? I'm not criticising her in any way - just thinking about her skin and eyes
In good news heavy makeup doesn't cause premature wrinkles, lifestyle and lack of sunscreen do that, and skin type some people have drier skin than others. People used to think a thick layer of makeup works like sunscreen but it doesn't. My Mum is the opposite and barely wears any makeup so how she had me I don't know, because I am obsessed! If she has somewhere nice to go we have to find mascara for her. I give her nice ones, expensive ones but nope she wants the old fashioned ones that barely do anything! We only do this because I realised she had been using stuff that was years old. The only time she had a full face of makeup was for my wedding! I paid for makeup artists to come to my parent's house to do mine, my Mum's and my bridesmaids makeup. I could hear my Mum complaining all the way 😂 She has the world's smallest makeup bag and I don't dare ask how old the eyeshadow is, she only uses it maybe once or twice a year. I don't think she really knows how to even do makeup, not really.
Okay but take half of everything that's still on Judys face - okay maybe a quarter - and it would look surprisingly good. Also take half of the thickness of the liner, half of the dramatic eye look and make it just a little more wearable as a day look.

I agree with op, the problem really wasn't the intensity of the eye (he did a decent "sunset" eye), but everything else (sanitary issues, how rough he wad, the amount of powder+concealer+foundation, and the clashing lip shade)

My mothers is from Ecuador South America and I’ve got to say , my mother absolutely applies her makeup this harshly to her face every morning. I’m absolutely convinced everyone here is very heavy handed . And she (my mother)wonders why she got wrinkles prematurely. Lol but on a positive note ,the makeup wasn’t bad except for the lipstick it’s too dark and neon colored.
I'm not from South America, but information from my (adult) kid and then finding Judy's and Robert Welsh's videos (because I became curious) really helped me update my makeup techniques and not be so heavy-handed. If you were to watch some good vids with your mother, saying something like "oh I found this really interesting - what do you think of this video?" would she take it the right way or would she think you were shading her? I'm not criticising her in any way - just thinking about her skin and eyes
In good news heavy makeup doesn't cause premature wrinkles, lifestyle and lack of sunscreen do that, and skin type some people have drier skin than others. People used to think a thick layer of makeup works like sunscreen but it doesn't. My Mum is the opposite and barely wears any makeup so how she had me I don't know, because I am obsessed! If she has somewhere nice to go we have to find mascara for her. I give her nice ones, expensive ones but nope she wants the old fashioned ones that barely do anything! We only do this because I realised she had been using stuff that was years old. The only time she had a full face of makeup was for my wedding! I paid for makeup artists to come to my parent's house to do mine, my Mum's and my bridesmaids makeup. I could hear my Mum complaining all the way 😂 She has the world's smallest makeup bag and I don't dare ask how old the eyeshadow is, she only uses it maybe once or twice a year. I don't think she really knows how to even do makeup, not really.
I really liked the eyes before he put black under them... Like they actually had a little bit of the same ombre as the lids :)

Okay but take half of everything that's still on Judys face - okay maybe a quarter - and it would look surprisingly good. Also take half of the thickness of the liner, half of the dramatic eye look and make it just a little more wearable as a day look.
