Oy, how I miss my Rebbe, Shlomo. Even in the sadness of Tisha B'Av we need to keep a little box of happiness. Happiness and gratefulness that He made us Jews. Tzidkato Yagein Aleinu, may Shlomo's righteousness protect us.
wow. what a theology. we need to compartmentalize our pain and suffering and not let it affect the heart. if it would be allowed into the heart it would break our faith. Thankyou Rebbe i needed that!
brilliant, just brilliant. Shlomo reminded me of the Spanish Marano Jews - on the outside they showed the tragedy to the world that they appeared to have been altered to a different derech. But in their pnimiyut, inside their hearts, their heart of hearts, behind the closed doors... they were Jews. Their neshamas were still happy, burning brightly as the real Jews that they indeed were. The pintele yid, never gives up.
David, i hear you. But one would argue that it would be the only day not to watch this. Tisha baav is a day to focus on those tragedies- we dont divert from them on that dreadful day- r shlomo would agree.. this video is for the rest of the year, for every single day! Kol tuv
I Agree that what Reb Shlome Answered is brilliant, But I disagree with your analogy! Those Jews lost there children, because they stayed there for the Money and although in the depth of their hearts they were strong, their children saw the outside more than the inside. The Jews who who dropped everything and ran saved their children to this very day! (imho :))
