For my 50th birthday my son and his pals built me a B2B banger. The mix of nerves and almost sheer terror as you're waiting in the pit lane to the pure adrenalin rush when that green flag drops. Race as much as I can now but wish I'd done it 30 odd years earlier. I managed to fluke a race win once and a DD but more often than not end up dead in the infield lol. Kudos to you though for going out there and doing it.

You should try hednesford hills, plenty of back 2 basic meetings throughout the year

I'd have sold the van for £1500 and used a KA or micra instead...
Van was only bought for £400 in the first place plus after running on chip fat, it wasn't exactly the best thing to buy. There was only one thing for it and that was to race it!

Sorry to mention mate. But if you had put the windows through with a sledgehammer and went to my local track..You would not have been able to race until all that glass had been removed from that shell floor..
A terribly amateur way of removing the glass from a vehicle.. Plus that's nudge n spin. Not full on hardcore banger racing..

The shots of the glass on the floor was in the yard. All glass was removed prior to the race and undertook a full safety check before being allowed on the track
