Let me guess. The powder is "shell sand" which is fine sand used in metal casting with phenolic resin to set at temperature and build a shell around a pattern. So you deposit the shell sand in a thin layer, then harden it by a simple laser and create a sand mold ? Genius!
Very interesting and impressive. Wondering like compared to sand cores were used to make at the grey iron foundry, how this compared to cost effective. Seems way awesome and practical for prototyping. Also, seems like for certain higher tech component for manufacturing metal components... especially with specific properties and exotic alloys. Wondering also capabilities for ceramics possibly. Thanks for sharing!
So this is a video of making DIY molds with an industrial SLS printer? Or a DIY printer? Either way very cool to see some footage of an SLS printer working usually that's hard to find good video of.
hi, how big is the print bed, is that possible to have duel laser to give faster print time. hwat the different between FL and normal co2 laser in sls? I am interest to buy from you fot my own use please let me know how to contact you?
What powder are you using please? I want to buy a zcorp machine but I can't source the media and this looks like a nice alternative.. I have build several cnc machines
Is the design and construction of this machine documented anywhere? I am very interested in building one. What software do you use to program and run the machine? Is this open source?
David Preston we made design of this machine. You can build one . but You should be know instrument design, method of laser&scanner control, software coding , and design slicing , electric device etc
Thanks for your videos Sir! May I ask some specs please? What brand and model of galvo head do you use? I have already a "cheap" CO2 laser tube (glass): do you think is it possible to use it on that machine? Maybe you have some expensive Synrad RF Excited Laser Tube? How many watts? Thank you.
nipponso thanks for watching this video galvo head is made in Germany. 'S...' brand company. This laser is 100w RF type. but we have been use laser of co2(tube) another machine.
There is no option to send message or any contact info on your youtube page. I'm wondering what laser do you use and I have a few other questions. Would you be able to help?

is there anywhere where we can read more about this project? the final products are amazing.
Coyote27981 You can check with eos s750 model. because s750 is similar with mine.
How much did this cost to build!?

This is DIY printer. Thank
Boa tarde! Saudações do Brasil! O que voce esta utilizando para controlar o sistema, um arduino Mega?
LOVE IT..
Thank you for your attention.
do you have any parts list and CAD files for download

Is that fiber laser or co2 laser sir?
Can i see the all machine design? Hehe
Very lovely and i so corious hehe
The fiber laser is right.
I'll put the equipment design back on the next video. This is simple because I made it myself.
I am interested in your project is there any build plans??
I have made a car brake disk as a sand core. But now I am focusing on metal 3D printing.
What powder are you using please? I want to buy a zcorp machine but I can't source the media and this looks like a nice alternative.. I have build several cnc machines
Markitos203 This powder is resin coated sand. I knew zcorp machine was merged into 3d systems . please check 3d systems machine. thanks

I forgot: what kind of optic do you use? Is that a closed machine with some inert gas inner? Is that a commercial sand or do you have your own recipe?
nipponso closed machine is collect. so we do not use insert gas. this powder is commercial sand.
is this machine for sale?
I want to buy one.. how much is the cost?
Dhanabal Arumugam I do R&D and do not sell. R&D cost is about us$ 150000 not include slicing software.
So its basically a 3d printer for glass?
Glass(laser ?) is RF laser (100W).it made by coherent company
@@metal3d202 i understand, i just think glass or silicon with the fact that its sand
quiciera construir una maquina como esta que materiales se necesita.

wao que maquina tan maravillosa felicidades, como puedo adquir esta maquina estoy interesado en comprar una.
For now, we have to make and use it.
Dear sir, which software you are using fo generating Gcode, Galvo head working on which type motor
Tukaram Kadam software is slic3r(open s/w) , you can use PLT file for Galvo head , and I use step moter for bed & recoater.
if you have enough money I recommend majics build process. Thanks !
How much required tell me I can manage
Dear sir, I am waiting for your reply, please reply me on. trkadam58@gmail.com
Tukaram Kadam I sent you to reply. thanks
Sir,How can I contact with you?
Kagan Ak if you have question, please contact me by youtube, email
I cant send dirrect message , I have sent a follow request in google +
what is your contact info. will you print tools and cast parts?
There is no option to send message or any contact info on your youtube page. I'm wondering what laser do you use and I have a few other questions. Would you be able to help?
I can not reply quickly, but I can help. rreddeer@naver.com
First vid labeled diy that doesnt have any instructions or much info at all.
It‘s labled wrongly, should be DIM (did it myself)
