Amazing, Ricky Martin's tenor voice really shines, whereas in pop music, even though he does fantastic, it doesn't really shine. I love his deep well-sustained voice. Beautiful, sexy, and bold!
FYI, Ricky isn't a tenor; he is a baritone which is more profound than a tenor but not deep like a base. The other singer was a tenor. An example of a bass would be Lance from NSYNC.

To date I haven't seen a better judge and contestant duet... usually it's not great because they are such different singers but those two aren't that different. Luke is definitely more of a belter but they did well.

Apart from the wonderful things Luke did do in this, what he didn't do is make a fool of his coach. That Ricky could even consider doing this duet with Luke says a lot about Luke's abilities and they were both mesmerising and fabulous. Two charismatic, sexy, fantastic performers who get along well. Wonderful!
I stumbled across this after looking for the one from Moulin Rouge. Wow! Never seen a better duet on the Voice. Hope that guy won. Ricky Martin NEVER gets old❣❣

BEST DUET ON THE VOICE! 2 amazing singers, beautifully singing together! I had heard Ricky singing like that in EVITA and I knew Luke could pull out that performance because of his background in musical theatre! Still got chills every single time I see this video!

Just how he didn't win I will never understand. I haven't watched this again until now and it's still powerful annd consuming. Ricky has such strong voice and Luke has great depth, range and ability to match anyone.

Im not quite sure why people are making this performance comparable to the original or that of the motion picture.. they are all arranged versions in their own right for purpose.
This is a showcase arrangement.. simply a duet that has been arranged to display the artist's range and skill.
It has not been arranged to attempt to be identical.. it's a show piece in this instance that's it.
And in all fairness a highly quality performance..
So for the armchair critics amongst us that have probably never sung a scale in their life... id be interested in how you would all fair if you came into one of my auditions and sung that...

It's definitely prettier sounding than the original because the voices sort of sound similar and pretty. However for maybe sentimental reasons I still prefer the original with the very contrasting vocals.
