VAL GARDENA 20.01.2022 SECEDA: Abfahrt Catores - St. Christina

Dolomiten Januar 2022. St. Christina (Santa Cristina). Abfahrt vom Seceda nach St. Christina. Schöne und recht lange Abfahrt (fast 1000 Höhenmeter) mit tollen Aussichten auf Langkofel und Seiser Alm mit den Rosszähnen und dem Schlern im Hintergrund. Ab der Talstation der FERMEDA-Bahn ist die Piste als blaue Piste deklariert; vermutlich, weil es keine alternative Abfahrten gibt und um Anfänger nicht abzuschrecken. Im oberen Teil vor der Kreuzung mit der Col Raiser Piste befindet sich ein relativ steiler Abschnitt, den Anfänger herunterrutschen. In diesem Bereich türmen sich daher am Nachmittag recht hohe Hügel auf.

Beautiful and quite long descent (almost 1000 meters in altitude) with great views of the Sassolungo and Alpe di Siusi with the Rosszähne and the Schlern in the background. From the valley station of the FERMEDA lift, the piste is declared a blue piste; probably because there are no alternative runs and so as not to discourage beginners. In the upper part, before the junction with the Col Raiser slope, there is a relatively steep section that beginners slide down. In this area, therefore, quite high hills pile up in the afternoon.
