Wow, Toulouse looks like a very modern airport
Toulouse is Airbus' headquarters and one of only two of the top ten largest cities of the country after Paris that don't have a fast high-speed train (TGV) alternative to Paris (Nice LFMN/NCE is the other one). It's linked by TGV trains but they run on regular tracks until Bordeaux where they connect on the high-speed network so it's a long ride to Paris.
So Toulouse has high frequency shuttle flights to Orly/ORY/LFPO and several feeding flights to CDG (in normal times, reduced at the moment due to the pandemic).
It's also a spotting heaven for Airbus aircrafts in every steps of development and several Belugas and BelugaXL's flights arrive and depart every day. Lots of braking tests (RTO), full TOGA takeoffs, go arounds and touch-and-gos. It's the European factory for A320's (ceo & neo), A330's (ceo & neo), A350's and A380's. A319 and A321 are built in Hamburg. So it's always a busy airport even on days where there aren't many passengers.
@@KyrilPG I will see if I can swing by in TLS the next time I'm in Europe, hopefully in September.
@@VMCAviationVideos Good idea, if the COVID situation gets better in the meantime you'll be able to visit Airbus facilities ( manatour.fr/airbus-2/?lang=en ) , Cité de l'Espace ( en.cite-espace.com ), Aeroscopia museum and the airport itself from the airside.
There's also several different tours offered on toulouse-visit.com (English available), type "Airbus" in the search box of the site after you switched languages and you'll be presented with 5 activities "Let's visit Airbus" (same as Manatour I think), "AviaSim" (onsite A320 simulator) and "Fly Simulation" (other Toulouse airport A320 simulator) full cockpit simulators offers, Aeroscopia museum (Concorde, Caravelle, A300B, A400M and several other planes to visit and simulators) and "Découvrez l'aéroport de Toulouse Blagnac côté pistes" (title in French but page available in English not sure about the tour but anyway, airside is airside whichever language) which means "discover Toulouse Blagnac airport from the airside" for an open air tour of the airport and Airbus and ATR factories.
Each activity has its own website in English but tours and the museum are all managed by Manatour.
The Airbus visit currently has at least 2 circuits, 90 minutes each : Airbus découverte (Airbus discovery) that starts from Aeroscopia museum if my memory's right and go through duplicate telemetry rooms, A380 first flight reenactment, A400M, etc. And the other one is called A350 XWB Visit, it takes you through the A350 factory.
The different tours are available in combo ticket with Aeroscopia museum. AviaSim simulator is separate but nextdoor.
All is doable the same day (except simulators, obviously) but I'd advise you to stay at least a couple days (Airport, Airbus and museum first day, Cité de l'Espace and AviaSim simulator second day) and to contact them to be sure of dates and times of tours. Visits are available in English and Spanish, maybe German, check with them for the best schedules and language slots.
There's also the panoramic circuit and the green circuit but I think they may be reserved for groups or only let visitors join if there's a group planned and remaining space. The city itself is quite historic, with lots of Roman stuff so there's more than the airport alone.
Of course Airbus and airport tours are behind security lines so passport or official ID is required (driving license is NOT valid) and at least 2 working days prior notice for the open air visit of the airside.
All of this is now accessible either from the airport itself or from a station or two down the tramway or bus line from the airport (access is very easy now).
I visited 2 of the old tours a decade+ ago before the tramway connection, I took a flight from Paris in the morning and a return flight in the afternoon, it was great!
And if you stay a little or choose the airside visit you'll see LOTS of Airbus, ATR and Beluga maneuvers (except Sundays, maybe also Saturdays where there's less movements).
Just one thing that's not really fun, some of the tours strictly forbid cameras, especially inside factories. You'll have to check cameras in lockers, but you can keep your phone as long as it stays in your pocket.
I think the museum is open to cameras and the airside too but you'll have to check.
The Cité de l'Espace is a totally different museum and tour, located elsewhere but accessible too and it's focused on ESA (European Space Agency) and space as the name implies. :-)
Now that you have all the info you have to visit Airbus. I can't wait to go back there for the A350 tour (I had the A380 assembly line tour).
Even though your native language is French, thanks for your English descriptions & showing us English screens/signage so we can follow along. Thanks for the great quality videos as well 👍🏽✌🏽
I‘m in Love with your flight reports. Keep Doing and I Hope This Pandemic goes away very Soon, so that you Can hopefully do more 😂
That makes two of us!
Great video! I LOVE cloud surfing so much! The best I ever experienced myself was a full cruise cloud surfing for a LYS-ORY 20 years ago onboard a Fokker 100.
53:53 PTU barking! It's amazing how that sound unsettles non-frequent fliers or first time passengers. For as long as I remembered it was one of the things that scared the most any stressed flier. Up there at the top of scary things for uneased fliers with seeing through the wing when speed brakes / spoilers deploy, mist coming from the ceiling due to AC on hot days and thrust reduction "dive feeling". I'm always happy to reassure and explain them the reasons for these to be.
Of all the videos I see posted on UA-cam, I like yours most because I get a feel for the airport as if I'm coming and checking in my bags, then exploring the airport a little before boarding the plane. Some others in my opinion move too fast and leave little to immersed into.
Great video 📹my friend. Thanks for sharing and we will see you on the next one.

Congratulations Nicolas, your videos are sensational!
Any time like that, take a trip with the airline La Compagnie, which operates two Airbus A321 Neo and only has Business Class. It's an incredible experience too
Very nice video! 👍
58:12 la nouvelle livrée Air France A321! Bon Vidéo! 👏

❤️🇫🇷

9:50 There is an Airbus Beluga XL in the background
No April Fools video? Eh. But I really enjoy the video, keep up the great work!
Amazing report
But I want to suggest u to make the videos shorter like other channels
Excellent Video My Friend Stay in touch 🔔👈

You love plane? My too
By the way, Tres bonne video🙂
What is uff for ? When the plane landing haha
it's not very visible in the video, but the landing was a bit hard
make some new long haul flight reports please
impossible...
I would like so much ! But the borders in the world are closed, and our government forbids us to leave our country ...
For the moment i can't go anywhere internationally...
@@Razgriz-Flight-Spotting Thanks for the reply we still love your channel you are the best
Could you imagine to make a video with all of your cameras and setup later on?
what do you mean ?

Hi Mate how are you my name is Harpreet Singh and I’m currently studying executive Masters in aviation from London and I am in the process of writing my dissertation on narrowbody aircraft flying on transatlantic routes. I would love to ask you if you would be able to give 15-20 minutes interview to share your expertise regarding the topic. I would appreciate your time because your expertise and your experience will help me to get quality information. My topic surrounds this area where lots of airlines in aviation are buying single aisle aircraft for the long haul operations which earlier were not profitable when operated by wide body jets. Please let me know if you would like to contribute to my research and I would really appreciate your time and effort. Would love to hear from you thank you
