He admitted he suffered and missed her after their breakup but that he had moved on and his wife was his most cherished person in his heart, and that line was given with so much sincerity. I really felt it when he wished her a good life. His kindness as a person shines through, and there was no lingering sense of romantic love or regret in his eyes when he said goodbye. Really nice scene.
If he really didn’t want anything more to do with her…then why did he go back to see her in private a second time while his wife still left him? Because he really, seriously wants to cheat!
