The way I wasn’t expecting those flashbacks but I was LIVING for them so much, oh the nostalgia I got from those flashbacks and they truly show that despite everything DANCY are truly meant to be

@yeah up yours too buddy I think opposite Adam Rickitt character Kyle made bigger impact with some viewers struggling with mental health issues and it was a chance where the show not only highlight mental health issues but the lasting effect Kyles death had on darren and nancy characters and the way it opened up the warning signs to viewers and families or friends etc about the true effect and mind set of someone suffering from mental health.

They only gave him the depression storyline to make viewers sympathise with him after he continually screwed over Luke and Nancy. It's a shame they got rid of Kyle, he was far more likeable.

I never bought Darren and Mandy as a couple. Yes they had affair but Darren called it off and chose Nancy. He only went back with Mandy because Nancy refused to forgive him back then. Mandy was always second choice. Nancy and Darren belong together. I felt that way when they first started dating.

It's funny when Darren mentions pride and prejudice to Nancy because in an episode from 2006 Nancy's ex boyfriend and ex husband Jake who also dated and married her older sister Becca was once sat in the salon Evissa (now Price Slice) with Becca and Carmel and Carmel commented on how Jake reminded her of Mathew McFadden who played Mr Darcy in the 2005 film, whilst Carmel was doing Becca's nails💅. Becca asked "do you like Jane Austen Carmel?" and Carmel replied "was she in it ?, I only remember Keira Knightly and Mathew McFadden" LOL! She clearly didn't understand that pride and prejudice was originally a novel and that Jane Austen was the author of the book 📘LOL! Also it was good to see the flashbacks of Darren and Nancy in the SU bar which sadly is no longer featured in the show and the students and the college the students attend sadly no longer feature in the show either. Does anyone here know why the Hollyoaks producers decided to drop the students, college and the SU Bar?

@@taraz6786 Yes, seeing his actual behavior, to me he hasn´t changed a bit. He doesn´t have a backbone and always joking his way out of trouble, lying and cheating. Why sleeping with Mandy this time? If this was real life I don´t think Nancy would have liked to take him back. If they can remain friends, that is good enough. But I also find Nancy pretty stupid aswell, always acting before thinking so they may deserve each other. Tony is the only character in this soap with a little backbone even if he also did stupid mistakes in the past but he seems to have grown up.

If Darren didn't have an affair with Mandy, there wouldn't be a depression storyline between him and Kyle, and Luke would've stayed with Mandy longer which lowers the chance of him being with Cindy. The point is one storyline leads to the next, it's similar to the case of The Butterfly Effect; a theory that one small change can have an impact on the future. So if the affair didn't happen, the present would have been almost completely different.

Nancy and Darren have been married and divorced twice. Their first marriage ended in divorce after Nancy has an affair I think with one of Darren’s half-brothers dad Ric was his name I think. Then obviously their second marriage ended in divorce because of Darren’a affair with Mandy.
Could it be third time lucky for Darren and Nancy obviously know how marriage to Mandy has been consummated Darren can’t get an annulment so he’ll have to wait a year before he can divorce Mandy to even think about re-marrying Nancy for a third time

Back in the early 2000's (2000 - 2002 era of the show) Mandy cheated on Luke with two other guys in the village including Ben Davies and with Luke's own brother Adam. She also separated from Luke and began a relationship with Darren after Luke was raped by Mark Gibbs. Although it was definitely wrong of Mandy to cheat it was very complicated situation as at that time Mandy was friends with a girl named Laura Burns who was mentally ill and obsessed with Mandy and did everything she could to keep Mandy apart from Luke. Luke discovered Mandy's multiple infidelities and finished with her and went to Canada but later returned and wanted Mandy to go to Canada with him. Luke returned when Mandy was in a relationship with Adam and she slept with Luke, who left once again. Quite rightly Luke and Adam eventually dumped Mandy after realising she was seeing them both but in a bizarre twist it is later it is revealed that Laura's real name was actually Kerry Shepherd and that she has stolen and assumed the identity of a friend of her who died of drowning when they were children.
