Stumbled on this as I look ahead to next year, it's so nice to actually see what a planner looks like after it's been used! it is letting me visualize what mine might look like. Also, I'm with you on the stickers. Irrationally don't want to use them all up, but they're there to be used.
Thanks so much for this! Around this season all I'm seeing on UA-cam are unboxing of EC teacher planners, which are great, but as a first-year teacher next year, I've been looking for different ways teachers have actually practically used them on a day-to-day basis. Appreciate it!
Plum paper recently revamped their teacher planners. They have one for pre-K and kindergarten, one suited for elementary, and one suited for middle and high school teachers.
I homeschool my kids and use this planner. Sometimes I get interested in what goes on in the "school buildings" LOL I found this very interesting and inspirational, thank you. I don't like that quote either. As a mother and homeschool teacher my husband encourages me with the reminder of when your on a plane and the flight attendants tell you to put the oxygen mask on yourself first before your child. It was hard for me to think that way at first because it seems selfish, but it's not at all. It's smart! I hope you have a nice and restful summer and God Bless you for teaching our children!
Thank you for your response, I appreciate the content that you put into your videos. I have been using Happy Planner Teacher in Medium and this EC is so pretty so I am thinking about trying it this year. I am a college professor and I teach 6 facetoface classes and 1 online.
I'm considering purchasing a planner such as this. I'm curious as to the advantages you see over purchasing a pre-built one like the EC TP vs. designing and printing pages from a computer for a binder.
bethfoley84 I love the spiral binding. I also like the design of this planner. If you want more customization options, making your own would be a better pathway.
This is an odd comment.. but I think I want to start using this planner for school work. Each section would be perfect for the class and the readings/hw.
I love seeing how other people use their planners! This is definitely #goals =) I was confused for a moment when you said TEKS. Our evaluation system is TKES (Teacher Keys Evaluation System, or something like that) so I was definitely shocked for a moment!
laurenb1992 Texas always has to be different. 😂 it’s our state standards, the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills. (I can’t remember if I mentioned that or not.) We use T-TESS for our evaluations. Don’t ask me what it stands for! 😆
I'm an elementary teacher. I am just at a loss of how I can use the EC teacher planner. I love her other products but I teach 11 different groups a day. And within those some are mini groups so it's probably more like 15 groups a day. On top of 4 leadership teams I'm on. I really wish I could use an EC. Have any ideas?
Alicia Allan oh wow!!! 😲 I’m not sure. I feel like a daily or hourly planner or bullet journal situation would be necessary. Maybe the hourly planner but without using the hours - just the boxes? Then the little bottom to do list for your leadership teams. Hmm...that is a tough one!! 😣
tattooed teacher plans Thanks so much for you input! That's kinda what I'm gonna to try this year. I definitely have an hourly life planner all washi taped up for the year with each school day. Then I'll go from there. It's definitely hard being a nontraditional (non-classroom) teacher.
@@tattooedteacherplans I read a lot of business productivity and team-building books. Usually, I have these in a separate notebook, but I'm thinking of putting those in my EC notes pages so I can make sure to put them to use. I'll probably use something in the front of the planner for an index - like maybe the opening "classroom events" page - since I would never use that for anything. I'll just re-label it.
if possible can you explain the headers? like honours wh, wh, and why the three different schools. you mention them briefly but i still dont understand it. it is really different from my school system. hopes this doen't bother you
Rennie sure! Honors World History and regular World History are the first two. They’re the two different classes I teach at the high school. The ones on the right are for the campuses I serve. I’m a district employee too and help the teachers set goals and work on them throughout the year as well as helping them prep for their evaluations. I also do tech trainings at all three campuses. It’s not a normal teaching schedule for sure!
Always. I work in a small school and we’re like family. For example, we are going to a baseball game this week to celebrate the end of school. Our assistants and paras are coming with their significant others!
Yeah, screw that quote... jeez. Teachers are human beings too lol! I'm not a teacher (and tutoring one semester of uni wasn't really the same lol) but watched this anyway. 🤷🏻♀️I thought it was interesting your classes watched Australia. Was it for a different perspective on the pacific conflict in WWII?
Kittenishgirl Jess yes! We usually focus on Europe so I like to show it so they understand how global the war really was. Plus it’s close to the end of the school year and I’m tired. Sometimes a movie is just what we all need. They all love that movie, btw. And that quote... that’s the reason so many teachers leave the profession. We have to take care of ourselves too!

I’ve done better this year about using them, but I still have some leftover! 😆
Love your idea of filling blank spaces with washi tape! Great color coordination on every page! Awesome use of markers!
Mai A Thank you! ☺️
Every time I see a teacher planner, I feel like I want one…even though I’m not a teacher 😅
You can use one for a different purpose for sure!!
That’s me with daily planners. I love looking at them but I just don’t need one! 😂

JustDessely I’ve never used plum paper but I’ve heard good things! I think I’m still sticking with my EC. I love all the color. 💜

So nice!
What kind of glue do you use to put them templates in?
Just a regular Elmers glue stick.
What is the size of this teacher planner? Is it too big?
8.5x11. I like that it’s bigger. It has the room that I need.

Beth McComb I’ve seen people do that!! It has lots of room. It could totally work!
I never thought about that until now. That's kinda brilliant
Last year of college and start my teaching internship this semester
This is making me so excited and so nervous for my student teaching in September 🙈
Niki B Plans You’re going to do great! Just observe everything and ask questions and for help when you need it! 💜
Thank you! 🙏🏻
I really enjoyed this video. Thanks for sharing. Where can I find the lesson plan template ?
Ann Dyer I have it linked near the top of the description.

Thanks! I watched this video and I am a department head. This will be very useful!!
Hi there! I was wonder what template you purchased on TPT for your lesson planner
It's linked in the description close to the top. :) It's only $1 and totally worth it IMO!
Where do you get the cupcake stickers that you use for student birthdays? That's a cute idea.
i do the same thing with my stickers. dont want to use them all up, but I keep buying more lol! it makes no sense whatsoever, but I get it! :)
Michelle Delecki I am determined to use them next year!! 🤓

Great wrap-up! Do you use any particular structure on your notes pages? Do you find that you reference them very often?
Robin Manly No. but I want to! I plan to put in my seating charts and some other things. I’m still thinking though. Any ideas for a HS teacher?

tattooed teacher plans Thank you that explains a lot!
What brand of marker are you using?
Kathy E Crayola supertips! They’re cheap and don’t dry out!
tattooed teacher plans Awesome! Thanks!
Very interesting to see how u used your teacher planner.
Did you find the tpt link for the template?
cherrybellering ugh...I forgot! 🤦🏻♀️ Just added it! 😁
I figured, we all have end of year teacher-brain right now!
Do you include EAs when you do teacher events? My mom was an EA for years and whenever the school did teacher events she was not included. :(
Always. I work in a small school and we’re like family. For example, we are going to a baseball game this week to celebrate the end of school. Our assistants and paras are coming with their significant others!
Thanks for the flipthrough.
