I first saw this on RTE over 20 years ago and it still gives me a buzz to hear it....did ya ever see as happy a face as Seamus has when people are enjoying his ceoil agus ag rince. Class.
Wow! Thanks again for uploading such wicked clips! This is especially valuable for folks on this side of water who would normally have a hard time accessing this kind of stuff. Begley and Cooney...I have no words for this!
Hi Clarebannerman, is there any chance you would have a clip of Cooney and Begley from RTE's "Bringing it all Back Home" series from the early 1990's? They were playing in a shop/pub (bacon slicer and beer pumps etc) and I'm sure it was in Dingle. To me it was one of the best pieces from the whole series. Any idea how to get a hold of it? I did have it on video that I lent to a girl and then lost touch! RTE seem to have abandoned this series and not sold the video - they did release it on LP.
@@seanfinlay6822 Hi Sean, yes I have seen it since as I am friends on Facebook with a guy called Ciaran Kelly. He's from Fermanagh and has a mountain of old VHS material which he's gradually working his way through. He's posted that clip a couple of times and it's obvious why it doesn't get replayed too often as the credits run before the music finishes so it's less attractive to reproduce (visually, not musically). Ciaran re runs a lot of the stuff he posts on facebook so next time this one comes up I'll film it on my laptop and upload it to youtube and let you know. Meantime, have you seen any UA-cam videos of Seamus Begley playing with Tim Edey? Phenomenal music - it's hard to know which of the two of them is the accompanist!

Was that clip in Dan Foley's in Annascaul? I have a hunch it was and was quite magical, if I recall correctly...
Did you ever find out how to view that session? You’re right , that was the best fit of Bringing It Back Home. It was a BBC production.
